Tries to soak it up with a nylon sweater. SPREADING IT AROUND EVERYWHERE. Not to mention, HE WALKS IN THE STUFF AND GETS IT ALL OVER THE F~~~ING LIVING ROOM!

its now 5:30 am. I just got done CLEANING it ALL UP. Something that could of took me just maybe 10 Min, took 3 hours.

I’m sure it’s different in all countries/cultures, but how the US generally treats the elderly…just isn’t good.

– Younger people don’t feel a responsibility to take care of their parents they way they used to. In some respects, that understandable considering we’ve been told to be more independent, and parents tend to do less for their kids that in previous generations.

– Elderly people seem to needier than previous generations. Or maybe it’s just my perception. They are stubborn and refuse to admit that they can no longer take care of themselves. It used to be that a father would pass down the role of being head of the family to his eldest son, when he knew he was no longer capable of the role. The elders would take on the mantle of wise advisers. Now, they refuse to give up their independence.

– Wives no longer leave their families when they marry. Again, the hierarchy is messed up since the wife is still tied to her old family hierachy and thus it makes it that much more complicated to deal with family and properly transition responsiblities within a family.

– People migrate much further than before. You cannot take care of your parents when they are a 1000 miles away.

– There is an entire industry built on taken care of the elderly. This is filled with unskilled workers who virtue signal the idea that they are good people for doing this, but an absolute mess in their own lives.

Oh sweet death, please come take me before I get to the point that I am no longer self sufficient. I was changing the oil in my truck recently and the first few times I had to get up and down were a little difficult, but by the end I was getting used to it. I guess I’m still a ways off, but it does make me think.

Every time I work at an election polling station I deal with old people over 70 and I will say, they are a pain in the ass; ugly, needs special attention, they don’t understand anything including the voting process no matter how much you explain it to them and they’re slow!

Seeing as I’m gettin’ closer to that age myself, figure I got a right to opine on the subject. Keeping myself in excellent physical condition because when my body breaks down, it’ll be like an animal in the wild: I’m f~~~ed with no one to depend upon.

I can sympathize with those seniors who have genuine physical ailments or are financially on hard times, but the crotchety old farts with an entitled attitude can go f~~~ themselves.

Up here in Canada we’ve got a blooming population of elderly. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the generation that didn’t pay their fare share in taxes. They’ve had it too good for far too long,In particular the rich. Thousands of them are completely dependent upon the Medical system. And guess who’s stuck paying for it…. you’re looking at him.

Honestly most family members today are not qualified or capable of being a true professional caregiver for another elderly adult relative with real health problems. Its just reality. To actually demand this from another relative is putting them in a spot they aren’t qualified to do and almost certainly do not have any proper training to do correctly for years to decades. That means they are putting their lives on hold, long term, for someone else. And its a thankless job on top of that.

Brothers, I say let the ladies have this caring job:) In olden days, really olden, when a member of the tribe became too old to contribute and move with the tribe to a winter or summer ground, ie the weak befuddled old person….. the tribe stopped, put water in a gourd or skin, sat him under a tree with a blanket, gave him the water and some jerkey and the blanket, and told him goodbye, wishing him well in his coming spirit travel. AND OFF THEY WENT. This guy needs to get another job where men hang out, like bowling alley or such. This worker is disrespectful, yes, but HE IS IN PAIN. F~~~!!!! I work as a security guard in a retirement home, and to be honest there are only a FEW of those older assholes. Most of them are ok, but surprise surprise it’s mostly FEMALES that cause s~~~ and do stupid s~~~ too!

And then the nurses….omfg, they are seriously there just for the money. Cause throughout the day they all talk about how they will one day win a lottery and leave their job for someone else.

I get blamed for just about everything. Just cause! I don’t know why I can’t make myself find a different job..well maybe because I’m a lazy f~~~ing prick!

Honestly I thought of everything. Right now I’m in a mortgage agent course, also thinking about doing trades. And also thinking about going for a private pilot’s license. All this s~~~ makes my head spin. Where are those nukes when you need them?
