I believe that the Red Pill is a process, and I think Men may still date, or at least still entertain the idea of some form of dating as the Red Pill is Assimilated.

Also, some Men may still date while going their own way.

I needed all of those stories when my marriage went to s~~~ and my divorce started. As useful and appealing as an indexed faq sounds, I needed to read the rough and the refined stories in order to believe that the scenarios were credible, that the core ideas had validity. This site’s horror stories, helped me see parallels in my own situation and understand the repetitive nature of the universal problem by seeing it’s many varied iterations. I read them until I was sick of them, then I wrote my own!
No matter how savvy we think we are, we must basically trust our family members in order to function as a family. That’s what makes the manipulations so hard to accept as true at first. Once you see them they become evident and the stories redundant, but until you see it…. well I’ll say it’s a hard pill to swallow the first time.

Of course any of that can be covered right now by just starting a new thread in CENTRAL or searching existing threads. This is mere speculation by me – no doubt KEYMASTER and established members are way ahead in their analysis on all things MGTOW.

In my eyes, dating can be anything from pump n dump to having a cup of coffee at a cafe. I see relationships as more serious arrangement with an agreement of exclusivity, but those are just my impressions.

I agree Sir. Albeit without going overboard. I think it would be nice to have a cooking/recipes forum. Pretty much everything else seems covered well.

Like you said though, a dozen threads about bitching and moaning does get old to me too. Hell, we know about it or we would not even be here in the first place. Now granted, of course it is beneficial to lurkers & new members/the uninitiated but to the point of having a dozen on the front page does seem mundane to me as well.

We talked about this during a Zoom session yesterday and, while the Zerenity’s observation had merit, there’s no real answer or solution to what he’s observed.

Nor should there be an answer or solution because the “recycled” information does serve a purpose.

New members need to see and read such “recycled” information. New members also need to vent, rage, and otherwise rant. MGTOW has quite a bit in common with the grieving process, so they need to work through the rage which is part of that process. It’s what the site can offer them after they’re done raging that becomes the issue.

We also have members who never move on or grow and indeed don’t want to move on or grow. They’re perfectly happy just reading and raging about the same old stuff, indeed the same old stories, over and over and over again. While there’s nothing wrong with that, it does set a certain tone in certain forums.

As for the rest, the members who have moved past their rage and need to to rage, I believe the site hasn’t changed as much from when they joined as what they need from the site has changed.

ECP and Pete made some good suggestions during the Zoom session. Both pointed out that we too often don’t praise good posts or threads. Not by ticking the +1 button, but taking time to type a thoughtful response. They also suggested that we try to spend less time on the Central board.

Central is mostly recycled information and as such has important role here. We’ve other forums with a narrower focus on narrower topics, forums we should try shifting our focus towards.

Finally, those of us who want something more from the site should start giving more of what we want to the site. ECP suggested making one good thread every so often and working to bring attention to other good threads. Think of it as pushing for quality over quantity in ourselves and our own posting.
