A family owned bakery in business for over 100 years won $11 million in a libel suit against Oberlin college. Apparently, the college was complicit in encouraging student protests targeted against the bakery after 3 of their students who were black were arrested for stealing from their store.

I’m glad that these social justice warrior assholes got put in their place, and specifically, college administrators were shown that they can’t bully regular hardworking americans with their social agenda bulls~~~. This case is huge. It will set a precedent

Bakery owners said they lost business after Oberlin students held protests accusing them of discrimination. The student Senate passed a resolution claiming Gibson’s had “a long history of racial profiling,” and Dean of Students Meredith Raimondo was accused of passing out an anti-Gibson’s flier.

Students boycotted the bakery, while the college cut off and then resumed its contract for baked goods.

Oberlin argued it was not responsible for the students’ actions. Meanwhile, the three students pleaded guilty to shoplifting and aggravated trespass while issuing statements absolving the bakery of racism.

In 2017, Gibson’s sued the college for libel; tortious influence with business relationships and contracts, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, culminating in the nearly month-long trial in Elyria, Ohio.

“The students eventually pleaded guilty, but not before large protests and boycotts intended to destroy the bakery and defame the owners,” Mr. Jacobson said. “The jury appears to have accepted that Oberlin College facilitated the wrongful conduct against the bakery.”

    God bless peace and freedom.

The other day I was flicking through the channels on the TV in a vain attempt to find something interesting. Stopped on a political debate. White privilege, but the guy nailed it. WP is simply being told No. No, you have to earn it.

I looked at that school for my daughter. The thought of paying that SJW bastion of communism a fortune about made me sick. Fortunately she chose elsewhere. As I was sitting in a lounge while she did her interview I thumbed through the annual yearbooks. What I noticed in all years that I looked at, as freshman, about one out of four students of the class was black. By the time that same class were seniors, it was down to about one out of twenty. The vast majority were gone by the second year.

The jury isn’t done deliberating upon the punitive damages, and some idiot in the administration at Oberlin has circulated an email critical of the verdict and the jury. Not very smart considering this email could be used by the prosecution as evidence the college is not taking the decision seriously and could increase the amount of punitive damages – they might wind up paying a lot more than the $11 million.

administration in colleges are usually ignorant, self absorbed pieces of s~~~. They are shielded from the real world by the walls of their institutions and therefore say and do things that in real world would not fly. Part of the problem with today’s political climate is specifically due to these people being able to control the narrative and not be held accountable. Hopefully, slowly the tide will turn, but that remains to be seen. This verdict however is awesome and will serve as precedent in the future.

There is another lawsuit that is not getting much play right now, but also will be a game changer. It’s the Covington high school kids lawsuit against Washington post and NBC. Notice how the media is keeping the wraps on that one. In cant wait to see the result of that one.

    God bless peace and freedom.

Oberlin College to pay bakery the now-massive sum of $44M

A jury has awarded $33.2 million in punitive damages to Gibson’s Bakery, whose owners claimed Ohio’s Oberlin College and an administrator hurt their business and libeled them during a dispute over a shoplifting episode that triggered protests and allegations of racism.

The Chronicle-Telegram reported the same jury awarded Gibson’s business and family members more than $11 million in actual or compensatory damages, bringing the total award to more than $44 million.

    ——————–good.
