Here in the UK on big brother there Was a task where women had to change a tyre. They worked out how to jack up the car and then undid the wheel nuts while the other one held the wheel to stop it turning. They then managed to put the space saver on (nice and light) did the lugs up by hand, dropped the car on the ground (literally let it fall off the jack) and then proudly claimed “absolutely women can change a tyre”

I was very p~~~ed off that the lugs were not properly tight at the start as I know there is no way they would have got them loose.

For women, everything eventually boils down to Alpha Fucks, Beta Bucks.

Lets say a young man had a flat tire and was struggling with changing the flat b/c he didn’t know how.

Here are few ways it could have gone:

2. The young man realizes soon that he doesn’t know what todo and calls his dad for help. Oooops, maybe not as dad was kicked to the junk-heap by mom.

3. The young man realizes soon that he doesn’t know what todo and pulls out his phone and finds a youtube vid on how to change a flat. Takes longer than it should but he handles his s~~~ and gits-r-done.

4. He does what is needed in a timely fashion (even though he struggled) to change the tire and promises himself to never have an under inflated spare again.

To be fair, I was only talking about her attitude while changing the tire, not in refusing help. She was watching a youtube video when the guys went down there. She was apparently pretty determined to do it on her own. My point was that, despite how long it took her and how much she struggled, she was laughing at herself at different points of the ordeal. She wasn’t throwing a temper tantrum. There are plenty of men and women that would have gotten very p~~~ed in the middle of it. She didn’t.

I have access to service manuals for my vehicles, but I also always try to seek out a couple of videos before I begin on a repair I haven’t done before. Helps to visualize what to expect in terms of how things come apart and how they go back together.

Encourage more women to be like this woman. Don’t change the tire, carry the big box, fix the remote. Just say you can’t do it. You have a problem or something.

Maybe women will start swapping circuit breaker talk when their getting their hair done.

Men’s work is women’s work and they should do it. No complaints. Like our little heroin here.

Good ol’ internet has helped me out a few times. I think the last time was how to change out triggers in my rifle. Not that complicated, but it can be if you haven’t ever done it.
