This is the most complete yet easy to understand guide on computer & network security I have seen so far https://www.deepdotweb.com/jolly-rogers-security-guide-for-beginners/ I’ve always recommended using a V.P.N in conjunction with the Tor browser for maximum protection while surfing the web, and this website goes into this in detail, unlike E.F.F or Anonymous who’ll just say get a vpn alone, which sees traffic coming in and out of their server and can easily identify you because the connection is one-hop, to surf privately online and you’re all good to go. They even have a deep web url & a public pgp key listed on their website, so I believe they are legit. More than likely no honeypot there.

P.S – a VPN will hide that you are using Tor to your I.S.P, hide your original I.P address from the Tor network, and add another layer of encryption from your computer to your V.P.N, making it even harder for your internet traffic to be traced back to you or brute forced

It also protects you if Tor leaks.

You mean DNS leaks not going through Tor? In that case your V.P.N provider would not be able to see your tcp/udp traffic but can still see what websites you are connecting to.

Ever see those warnings when you try to download files from inside the Tor browser?

Any VPN provider that won’t atleast claim to not log/monitor should be avoided as well.
