I really want to go see “Joker”.
I’m not even a fan of super hero/super villain stuff. The film seems to be in the same vein as “Falling Down” and “God Bless America”.
Cautionary tales about men, flawed as they are but also having some positive attributes, having everything they have taken away unfairly.
(We are either that man, or know someone close who is, so we can relate easily to this)
And when they have nothing left, they have nothing further to lose, and the resulting desperation can lead to unpredictable behaviour and a volatile situation.I believe the point of these stories is to raise awareness of men who might be vulnerable, ignored and/or used up, and that our society really needs to rethink how they are treated.
If there was some kind of prevention so things don’t get so bad, maybe we can avoid creating such danger in the first place? But no, the SJW media is already spinning this to make the purpose of the movie is to incite incels and “Angry White Men” to violence.
No acknowledgement of the root problem, just straight to the shaming…What about the “incel” problem everyone is alluding to about this movie?
Isn’t this ammunition for lefties and SJWs to s~~~ on men who aren’t towing the line? And when they have nothing left, they have nothing further to lose.
And years ago, it was only when my life got to that point, was my evolution given the opportunity to truly begin.
It was a blessing.
A man can use rock bottom as an excuse to go insane and become self destructive or he can embrace the struggle and begin a journey to becoming what he wants to be.
I let it all go. Walked away from the nonsense and didn’t let it affect me anymore. Then set out to redefine the meaning of my own existence.
With everything lost and nothing left to lose, I began my evolution.
And found out just what I was capable of when there was nothing else holding me back and I literally had nothing left to lose.
That’s when it all begins. A man is born twice into this world. The first time when he leaves the body of whatever woman carried and sustained him for about nine months.
The second time is when he consciously walks away from everything, has nothing to lose and decides to redefine who he is as a man on his own terms. That is his second birthday and the date that he is reborn.
Tried to see it today at the IMAX with my son. Well… I was about to go JOKER at the TACO BELL DRIVE THRU. F~~~ING 45 MINUTES? HOW??? So I plan on seeing it tomorrow with a larger tow of people.
Now if I can only find some CLOWN hair.. My own just wont doo..
You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

Had a seriously ridiculous long wait inside of a Wendy’s yesterday. Mind blowing how unorganized they were and it went on forever until a manager looked at me and asked ‘What are you waiting for?’ And when I asked her why she didn’t know since it had been over 20 minutes, she said I didn’t have to get an attitude with her:
So, I said ‘FCK YOU!!’ and walked out.
Having never got my food that cost $8.74
A week prior, I was at a Jack in the Box and the guy working literally didn’t understand a word I said when I ordered at the counter. So I just walked out.
It getting crazy out there.
I seen the movie at a local theatre with a relatively small crowd. tickets: $11.00
I CAN say this: The OP is right in saying there is no FEMINISM in the movie. There is one brief moment, but it is in the nature of the character, not a “Girlpower” thing.
It is ALSO NOT a MGTOW theme movie.
READ the movie title; that is what it is about. It’s a dark movie, and there isn’t much Scharzenegger style A&E in it; HOWEVER it is still worth going to see.
If you followed the BATMAN saga as a kid,or did the movie lore with Heath Ledger; it is a must see!Joaquin Pheonix is excellent in character, but the combination of character play, music, and supporting performances MAKES the movie.
Don’t go to the restroom or refreshments;you’ll miss something for sure.Marry again, Hell NO ! ( Even JESUS was hung on a cross just once)

Sorry ,accidental double post during edit.Marry again, Hell NO ! ( Even JESUS was hung on a cross just once)
I have not seen it and won’t until it is free on tv. I am just done with cinema. However, I would observe that Joker is a known villain. So its OK if a film with him as its hero is not PC and it is Ok if he does not behave like a cuck.
I have come to realise of late that only in the bad guys does Hollywood get allowed to have some fun.
A woman is like fire -fun to play with, can warm you through and cook your food, needs constant feeding, can burn you and consume all you own

no, I was thinking of the scene on the bus when he starts laughing.

You know you have made it in life? When you remember….. but you just don’t care.
A week prior, I was at a Jack in the Box and the guy working literally didn’t understand a word I said when I ordered at the counter. So I just walked out.
It getting crazy out there.
WIth this I have just one thing to say…. YOU had ONE JOB…
Now on to the movie. THis time.. I got their 2 hours early. What do you know? It was just me an my son! Someone else pooped out!
We went to the 4PM showing. AND… WHY THE HELL is their like 25 minutes of commercials for a MOVIE that starts at 4PM? I get throwing in a few previews. But if this is the norm, I understand why more people don’t go see movies.
Again, IMAX all the way. But it was just a BIG Screen. and a VERY good one. My son noticed a Blue artifact on the screen in dark moments. But it went away as the movie started to play.
The SOUND is what just took me in. And MY LORD the visuals and the camera lenses were amazing! The depth of field and the way they director used focus… It was breathtaking. I still noticed some small shaking artifacts at times. But it was STILL just down right amazing.
Those that have seen it I think will agree that the visuals are done so well, you think it is a pure Avantgarde Art house film.
The most amazing part is that it really does grip you. It slow to take however. It’s not one where you just feel from the very start you are in the movie. It’s not one of those films where you get gripped by the action on the screen.
But as the movie goes along… You see CLEARLY why this is going to be one of the gold standards of Movies for the long run. It is going to be as timeless.
It really does delve into the concept that you better be nice to people. That is the big message that I got. Those that have seen the film will understand clearly, why he let that one man leave his apartment. It was just so poetic. Almost beautiful, with a funny darkness of not being in control. Being weak, being scared, and revenge and justice.
This movie speaks from the heart of so many and their complaints in modern days. Its almost a knee Jab to Democrats if you ask me. It has all of the same troupes we are seeing right now. And as they filmed in New York City, you can see this in the Film.
I can say for sure, a film like this has no other I can think off. Nothing comes this close or raw in its presentation of men in our world who have been abused, used and discarded.
The ending… there was some Clear symbolism going on there.
There was something my son noticed about the gun shots. Did anyone notice how many rounds a revolver has? I thought nothing of it. But he caught it right away.
THe theater was actually really empty. Mostly men, and a few women. There was a few black women their. THEY did not seem to be so amused.. 🙂 You know why if you see the Film. 🙂 I’m thinking mental health medical field is going to be on their list of hot jobs any time soon. 🙂
There was actually one security guard posted by the door when we exited. As I pointed it out, he got up and left. 🙂
How can DC go from an all time classic like Joker to this s~~~?
Well, I saw that preview. There was one funny moment in it with the dynamite. I have to admit, I kind of liked the preview. I still have not seen suicide squad. And boy has she gotten older. I don’t really see the feminist part about it in the preview. It just looks like a good film.
I did see how they tried to play up the Star Wars movie. Yea. Nope. No more sorry. It does not look bad in small clips. But you can tell they are REALLY building on the past that LUCAS FILM did. Not the new stuff.
I have to wonder really if its the actors giving it such a bad taste or the movie being ho humm.
What really got me.. was the sheer amount of YouTube Chilling at the Regal Cinema. Speaking of that.
WOMEN over 21 years of age should NOT work at a theater. THAT TICKER usher where the trash can is was a C~~~! So I made fun of her, made as many slurping noises with my drink as I could. ANYTHING to P~~~ HER OFF MORE. SHE WAS LITTLERY HOLDING THE TICKETS saying
“YOU SHALL NOT PASS” Damn!
The big thing I really noticed was that being October? The large Lloyd center mall is looking more like a ghost town each day. Large shops like Marshalls, Sears, and Nordstroms have all left. TOys R Us has been gone for a long time. I remember driving by the main warehouse in California. Kind of sad to see it go. But they stopped being FUN a LONG time ago.
But what I really saw was the really.. Well. Man.. People just look.. dead.. Lifeless. MANY storefronts are closed. And many more shops that cater to women are closing up shop. THat Hip vibe is all but gone. And replaced with.. I don’t know what.
It’s kind of sad. So the 2 hours we got their early, we got something to eat. MAN… MALL FOOD SUCKS! I should of just got subway. I got some italian food and it was just gross from the rebranded VILLA food court offering.
In fact the one thing that is VERY MUCH missing is the decorations for Halloween in the mall. But again, the lack of children and Families there sure do seem to be a sore point.
Another thing missing is the technology Kiosks like the flat screen displays etc. And another thing to note as well is that the Theater itself is looking well more like a ghost town these days. Not only is it missing things like Cardboard displays and adverts. But boy, it sure seems like a s~~~ place to watch a movie these days. THe atmosphere just does not seem warm or inviting or fun anymore.
THe way I can explain this that most will understand is like going to go see a movie at a drive in movie theater. The fun atmosphere is sort of gone. That magic about it is just vanishing.
It seems like the youthful nature has been replaced with a stuffy tight shirt decor. No one seems to be having any fun there. And all of the shops that catered to kids and fun have seem to have just got up and left to better pastures.
Its DRY and without soul is the best way I can put it. Its safe. Its normal. But there is just no life in the place.
Going to go see a movie use to be fun. Now? Its like going to a funeral. Or more like the DMV. Who wants to be in a place like that?
And as far as I can tell? This is the outcome of when you f~~~ with the balance of families and men.
One of the biggest things I noticed was that it was not Teens running the place. It was almost all older people. That’s not how you breath life into a place!
In the end, the JOKER seems to be a very real depiction of our modern day life that we just don’t ant to admit is true..
You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home
iMickey503,
Forgot that you are in Portland.
I’ll be in Seattle for a week in December.
I can drive down at some point. We need to hang.
Sky-0
we now have a Heath Ledger beating new Joker
Mark Hamill.
Now a movie that is actually good comes out and they schit all over it.
If the whores at Rotten Tomatoes don’t like it, it must be a good film.
There are loads of Joker origin stories so it is up to you to decide which, if any, are true
The Joker’s multiple choice origins are DC canon.
A week prior, I was at a Jack in the Box and the guy working literally didn’t understand a word I said when I ordered at the counter. So I just walked out.
It getting crazy out there.
This is what a $15 minimum wage gets you.
Heading to see The Joker today. Early show time at 11:50am
I’m going to eat three Indica caramel candies first and slam a bottle of Indica (10mg) sparkling water and a couple of shots of Jagermeister before going into the theater.
Need to get in the zone for this movie.
IMickey, the things in this world are all winding down. I was in Ohio last week and the malls there are all closing or being overrun with thugs. Movie theaters look empty based on parking lots… bars are only filled with older men and whores who are sad to witness.
Things are slowly coming to an end… society is f~~~ed. I think everyone is so scared to do anything… they are just clamming up in their idiot zombie devices…
But I get that… the juice isnt worth the squeeze for most things any more…
No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.
Things are slowly coming to an end… society is f~~~ed. I think everyone is so scared to do anything…
Which leaves us free to do anything.
Isn’t it great?
I agree with the original poster. Joker is a well crafted excellent movie and Phoenix is fantastic.
And as he said – no stupid girl power, no ‘sassy’ females kicking butt, no calling men evil etc etc. Before the Joker movie there were trailers and the new Harley Quinn movie Birds of Prey trailer was played. I have a serious crush on Margot Robbie mostly for her looks but I admit I was absolutely turned off by the trailer.Going to go see a movie use to be fun. Now? Its like going to a funeral. Or more like the DMV. Who wants to be in a place like that?

Back in the throes of my divorce, already having lost my daughters but not accepting that yet. Went with Rebound and her son (thank you Lord..) to see a movie on a Friday evening. All these dads with their kids. Huh? “Oh – they get the kids for the weekend starting Friday after school”.
Damn that was so f~~~ing depressing.
It is done.
Done.
Embrace it.

I see the animated actors as separate to the live action films
John DiMaggio is great in Under the Red Hood although obviously Hamill is the gold standard
