In a stem field, what is job hopping? Does it matter? Does anyone care?

Nobody cares. If they care and won’t give you a job because you don’t demonstrate “loyalty” they are bootlicking cucks and you don’t want to work for them. F~~~ them.

    Always look out for yourself.

NEVER NEVER NEVER base your career decisions on a hypothetical such as “I think it *might* look bad on my resume if I change jobs too often” or take advice from c~~~s calling themselves career coaches or counselors.

And riddle me this: If job hopping was “bad” it wouldn’t exist.

    Make sense?

If employers viewed job hopping as a bad thing, they wouldn’t give jobs to job hoppers, and thus job hoppers wouldn’t exist because you need to hop between jobs to become a job hopper. It becomes self-contradictory….

I did my share of job hopping back in my day. I am not sorry I did.

I also got laid off a few times.

It is possible I would have achieved a higher rank in the corporate hierarchy, if I had stuck to one company. Frankly I am glad I didn’t, looking back on it. The men in the upper ranks have a scary high percentage of heart attacks and ulcers. The women are harpies with the same cluster of stress-related illnesses.

A company might preach to you about loyalty. Don’t believe them. They will lay you off at any time they find it even slightly convenient. Loyalty only works one way to them, and it is not your way.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

I have my own small company; I only do contracts in computer science. I hop a contracts all of the time. The bottom line is if you can help them out; in the real world that is what they want.

Make the money and spend it on yourself.
