THE PLANTATION HAS NOW TURNED INTO THE KILLING FIELDS . WOMAN ARE NOW ROLLING CAMBODIAN STYLE .
Wrong thread, @blade. I think you may have meant that for the North Korea thread.
Or, you just like a good carpet bombing video with your morning coffee – similar to Carnage and a couple of NFG thread bombs.

Anonymous6Welp now the leftists are gonna boycott Carter
Together we stand, divided we fall.
For years the KGB, American socialist groups, and now feminists, have systematically eroded this nations morals to a point of almost certain collapse.
When I see something like this, Gambit, it gives me hope that the damage can be reversed.
Don't chase tail. Turn yours around, walk away, and live free!

I agree, Buck.
That’s nice that Jimmy said that, but in reality does ANYONE really care what his opinion is on pretty much anything ?
It’s SAD, but I bet MOST under 25 probably don’t even know that he was one of our former presidents, and if they do, they probably have only heard the name occasional on CNN, but actually know little else.
Now, if Obama was to make that same statement then you would have some waves across the political spectrum, but of course no fear of that happening.

The First Amendment exists to protect UNpopular speech.
I don’t want a country where there is no diversity of opinions politically: That’s like North Korea or the Soviet Union. So no, I don’t like blind patriotism and groupthink. Since I don’t watch these professional gladiators, NF Felons, I don’t have to see them ‘take a knee’. I’m also against schoolchildren having to ‘pledge allegiance’ or say prayers to a God they may or may not believe in.
Unfortunately, the media coverage of ‘racial injustice’ has been bulls*it. I’m far more interested in the MERITS of a protest than its FORM (unless that form is violent or violates others’ rights). I also believe even Neo Nazis should be able to speak, but that a MORE EFFECTIVE protest against them is to have counterprotester speakers, survivors of the Holocaust, etc speak and show photos, rather than shouting down and beating up the vile skinhead types.
Police brutality, whilst a problem in America, has been, and is in decline. Far more black men are killed due to drugs and gangs — problems exacerbated by drugs being illegal in America — than are killed by bad cops. Remember, Prohibition and how it greatly increased gang warfare? Narcotics laws did the same thing. The reality the media never covers is there are TWO black Americas. One is made up of my colleagues that I go to work with every day. They get up, do their jobs, and contribute to society. The other Black America is made up of THUGS. The thugs are born of single mothers in the inner city. The same is true of the white population — many of those in both black and white underclasses live off the government t*t and are violent. Our current government policies encourage growth in this uneducated, unproductive thug population to all our detriment.
Government encourages this by free rent and payouts, and a defective school system in the central city–all of which create perverse incentives. The solution is to STOP THE PAYMENTS, these children of the THUGS need to be adopted by the working population. If we must have welfare, after the first welfare/AFDC payment, sterilization, at least make that a condition of receiving government benefits.
Also, take a close look at the ‘demands’ for racial ‘equality’. Legitimate demands might be school choice — an exit-path out of the defective one-size-fits-all government schools. Or ending subsidies to the thugs (both black and white). Or legalization of drugs to stem the gang problem by dropping street prices, and thus violence associated with drug deals. Of course, NONE OF THESE is part of the agenda of an organization like Black Lives Matter.
Think about that, and whether their aim is to improve black lives of the underclass, or gain political power or monetary advantage.
Remember, in America, you can go from being a lowly Community Organizer to eventually being an all-powerful President.

The way the game works here is you quote from someone you see in the camp you can’t stand, that you believe they are part of, to try to score some mythical points to win people to your side, by doing some sort of appeal to authority. In this context here, whatever else Jimmy Carter stands for doesn’t matter, just that he is for people standing to the Pledge. Does anything else Carter stand for? No it doesn’t, just that he stood for the pledge.
During the last U.S presidential election, someone posted a video from a documentary Michael Moore did on Trump supporters, and how Trump was a way to say FU to the entire system. So, it got posted here as something great for Trump. Does anything else Michael Moore have to stay matter? No, it doesn’t, because all that matters is this one point. This is cherrypicking.
Progressives do this also, bringing up past Republicans in power, and showing what they said in opposition to Trump. Does the rest of what they have to say matter? No, it doesn’t at all. It is just score points now.
Unless one is willing to take the full of what someone says, and stands for, the rest is just cherrypicking, to score mythical points in a mythical battle that only matters to those engages in battles on the Internet that has no impact on anything.

Does anything else Carter stand for?
I respect Carter for other things as well. I particularly admire his faith in God and his acts of kindness over the years.
Carter may not have been a good president but he is a good man. I think the Iran hostage crises brought him down as well as the economy, he was a victim of the times. He said he would never lie to the American people and he never did. America was going down the crapper and he told us it was. The problem is that honesty has no place in politics but it was refreshing after Watergate and Vietnam. I see him as the last of the Classic Liberal democrats and time has been good to President Carter. However, he also has recently shown a gun control stance. Still, I can still relate to him far better than the Progressive Democrats we have today.
Carter may not have been a good president but he is a good man.
Agreed, Sparky.
