It had to happen. And only in Japan.
Pepper the Funeral Priest was unveiled at Japan’s largest funeral and cemetry Expo.

Why waste time on humans who screw up religion with their humanity?
Let Pepper and his friends bring religion into your life for the 21st century.

i lived in japan for 6 years. they have no religion. they have a shinto birth, christian wedding and a buddhist funeral. they’ll say they are buddhist but it’s in name only.

I bathe in the tears of single moms.

I was thinking about exactly that as I watched that video on corpse hotels and saw that there is a shortage of crematoria in Japan. It got me wondering if the Japanese could be made to accept the idea of a giant twenty four hour “funeral catapult” for rapid and budget conscious burials at sea. I mean someone sold them the idea of a suicide forest, so if shouldn’t be that difficult.
