I told the story about my alpha bro who got snagged on Twitter already… now here’s one about another friend of mine, let’s call him Bob, who has done everything he can to become a strong and powerful man, except be an actual man.
Bob is not big but he’s a fighter… and a self proclaimed “protector of women”. He works as a bouncer for a number of bars and does personal security for celebrities and events. He’s a street fighter and a martial artist and does training sessions on the side for his friends as well as works with an organization to develop and promote their particular fighting style.
He’s tough. I’ve seen him take out guys way bigger than him, knock people out with open hand slaps… I’m not a fighter so I don’t know the details but he seems to know what he’s doing. I’ve also seen him command a situation so that it didn’t develop into a fight so he obviously knows something about social dynamics and how to diffuse tense situations. He’s good at what he does and everyone who knows him has a lot of respect for him.
He puts so much time and effort into developing his body and his fighting spirit but when it comes to women, he’s a total mess. He’s been an a decade long marriage with the raging alcoholic mother of his kids and then goes out and f~~~s around with strippers on the side to meet the needs that aren’t getting handled at home. I’ve heard him tell his story a dozen times and it always works out the same… not only is he deathly afraid of his wife and totally incapable of handling what he thinks she might do to him but then, to make matters worse, he turns to strippers and would-be whores looking for what he thinks is “fun with no strings attached” where, best case scenario, he’s going to get involved with… you guessed it… another substance abuser with children or, worst case, just get the little bit of cash he has left at the end of the day taken from him in exchange for nothing.
In my mind, MGTOW is not about being a tough guy who rides a motorcycle, dates strippers and can beat people up… it’s about having a sense of personal value and taking control of your life. Sure, he can’t go back and undo the mistakes he made in the past, but he can man the f~~~ up, cut the cancerous bitch out of his life, take care of his kids, keep his dick clean and not further risk his future by courting even more female disaster.
Fellas, if you’ve got trouble with a woman… if someone’s got her claws in you or a sword over your head or your b~~~~ in a jar somewhere, getting free of that is your number one priority. Wife, girlfriend, ex-lover, your mom… whoever it is, you’ve got to burn that mole off before it becomes cancer and eats you alive. While it may suck, you’re going to be better off in the long run kicking her to the curb, making a “f~~~ off” payout, putting her in a facility, or writing monthly alimony and child support checks to her lawyer’s office (if you must) than having her vulturing over your life, living in your house, eating your soul and s~~~ting on your dreams.
The kids… they always get you with the kids… I can’t say for sure since I don’t have any of my own but I took care of another man’s child once and had that child snatched out of my life by the threat of molestation charges… walking away from the kid was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do but it wasn’t as hard as living the rest of my life as a falsely accused sex offender would have been. If you can’t save them at least you can save yourself… and there’s always the hope that they’ll come back to you when they turn 18, at least long enough to say they understand.
It’s sad but true -a lot of these so called alpha males who won’t take s~~~ from any man will gladly eat the s~~~ sandwiches their womin gives them.
This was a damn fine post. Required reading.
