ISIS are mercenaries paid to do very horrible things. They are only loyal to the Saudis and others as long as the Saudis and others keep them paid and supplied.

If by some fluke ISIS took over Syria, they would demand more money and supplies from the Saudis and others. The Saudis and others would refuse and the whole Saudi pipeline plan would fall apart.

They may have some of the best military equipment but do they have the will to fight another military. Not just an disarmed population like in Yemen. But an organization that can fight back.

This has happened a number of times before. Middle eastern nations with the best weapons but the rank and file soldiers lacked the training and discipline to know what they were doing and they broke ranks went the going got tough.

Of course. Ironically, the two major natural gas and oil sellers right now outside of the middle east are the U.S. and Russia.

Because neither of them want to be cornered into starting a war with each other. And this is not just out of their compassion for humanity. Both of them are billionaires with much of their wealth tied up in the infrastructure of the nations they represent. They might lose much of that wealth if the U.S. and Russia went to war with each other.

War is only profitable for thirty parties, not those directly effected.

Yes that had also occured to me.

Somehow I just don’t buy it the colusion between trump and putin. I mean.

Its true US and Russia are 2 big non OPEC producers the benefit the saudis have is their oilis easy to get at.

Funnily enough tehy found another 200 million barrels in the Nrth Sea-tahts f~~~in dnageorus and difficult to get as well -as any one who remembers piper alfa will tell you-never mind deep watre horizon.
