Veneto, Lombardy vote for more autonomy from Italy in referenda

——Italy has been hit hard having to take in all of the boat people out of the med. I can see why the people are unhappy.

Pass the popcorn this is getting interesting. After two hundred years of constantly redrawing the maps of Europe, all the old nations are coming back.

For those wondering. I am okay with Calexit on two conditions. The U.S. keeps the northern and eastern part of California whom want to stay in the U.S.

The southwestern California can be its own nation for as long as it can afford to do so. But, the U.S. should have the border wall extend around southwestern California to keep the lunatics from fleeing their failed state into the U.S.

I’m not on any condition. California is an integral part of the Union. I say we build the wall and toss the fascist liberals on the other side of The Great Wall of America.

Gambit, please read my previous post more closely. I know it is hard to believe but northern and eastern California are far different and vote very differently than southwestern California. In other words, the U.S. would want to keep the wine and farm country, but the U.S. could do without the coastal cities with the lunatic populations.

I am acutely aware of the California voting patterns and agree with you. However, I will not give up any part of our country. Those lunatics can leave. San Diego, Los Angeles and other nearby cities are some cool places to visit. The weather is great and you have the coast there. I am not giving it up.

    Europe is exploding.

No. These are the results of natural human reaction against those that would view maps as arbitrary lines that can be rearranged at a whim, with no regard to the people living within those borders.

Now after decades of being oppressed, people are finding their footing and they are reasserting their nationalism towards border lines that has existed for centuries before the modern age and modern warfare forced a change of borderlines.

The same can be said for a lot of places around the world.

Now after decades of being oppressed, people are finding their footing and they are reasserting their nationalism towards border lines that has existed for centuries before the modern age and modern warfare forced a change of borderlines.

    I am glad.

Exciting things are happening in my lifetime. I never would’ve guessed.

I agree. They don’t want to live in the United States of America, they don’t have to. But they aren’t taking part of the US away with them. Let them go to Sweeden and Norway and Argentina. We’re keeping the the Hollywood Hills and the Golden Gate.

I’m happy for those northern Italian states.

It’s not only the third world scum the the EU forces them to take in, but the southern Italian states are utterly corrupt and most are controlled by the Mafia.

First Britain, then Spain, now Italy.

There may be some hope for Europe after all.

Gambit and Doc, I agree with you.

Why give up any of our land?

There are so many socialist countries one can move if you prefer limited freedoms.

Maybe the liberals need to move to Canada for a couple years to “chill out”.

They can also experience the single payer health care system first hand.

Don't chase tail. Turn yours around, walk away, and live free!

The more you can break up power the better. I would like to see city states, dissolve the U.S. entirely. F~~~ it. When you try get everyone to play by the same set of rules you are just setting it up for everyone to not be happy. States Rights, secession, whatever, I am fine with it all. Let it all fall to pieces, fine by me. Good luck getting all the independent states together to all go to war for something overseas that has nothing to do with them… War would be a thing of the past. In our current form we are easy to fleece.
