More nations will have no choice but to leave the EU unless they want to lose their borders and identity completely. It is time for survival of course the politicians are going to try and stop countries like Britain from leaving they are all in it together.

The problem is so many people are distracted with technology that I doubt people will rise up like they did in the French revolution to take back their country unless a leader decides to go against the grain like Trump has in the U.S. some drastic changes will need to take place first.

You may be right Carnage – when I saw the headline I was thinking also of a comparison to the murky waters of what happened in Greece where despite their anti bailout anti EU/ECB rehetoric politicians before and after the bank bailout ultimately capitulated to the ECB/EU pressure and did not deliver on their stance which ultimately would have meant leaving the EU – lives were threatened by phone and the ECB called their bluff on getting access to additional loans – Russia had offered a loan lifeline to Greece in all this…

also there are politicians and double agents in all countries who basically play both sides of the game or who sell out on their voters

also the Brexit situation of trying to back out of the EU after driving down that road for 40 plus years is instructive – systems dont change and once in they dont just let you easily walk out the door

the situation in Hungary, Poland and France is also interesting – in fact in all EU countries there is growing anti EU sentiment.

Yes but one could argue that at least for some countries the time has come and gone that identity and culture has already been lost

Yes plus real Leaders are in short supply partly cos its difficult to get followers due to all the various distractions – its virtually impossible to enact real change from within the system.. therefore system will prob trundle on until slow collapse and people may be forced to adapt/re-organise probably locally
