I agree with PistolPete for the most part but I had enough to say that I made my own post. I’ll be damned if things get out of hand before I can defend myself with everything from pepper spray to the best firearms I can afford. This is NOT a call for violence! This is a call for defense because people are losing their minds that much:

I grew up being taught that it was those “Evil Soviets” that were going to take over the world. I was taught wrong. As President Lincoln stated: “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves!”. Antifa has been trying its best to destroy the Constitution I swore to defend and there are more examples than I wish to post. Is anyone really surprised that there has been a backlash? We have racists on the right as well but they can kiss the big one as far as I care, the issue goes much further. Now ANTIFA is going after President Thomas Jefferson (the first Democrat and someone I deeply admire) and they wish to deface the Stone Mountain Memorial, which shows General Lee riding with General Grant to surrender at Appomattox. The Cyclorama nearby shows Civil War battles in 3-D, a non-biased history lesson the last time I visited. Say what you wish about the Civil War but it happened. More Americans (on both sides) died from it that all other wars America fought combined, should we forget it or rewrite it? If there was anything positive about destroying half of our nation, it did end slavery. I graduated from high school in Clarkston, GA and seen the Stone Mountain Memorial every day returning from school. While the thought of destroying this fine work saddens my soul, I do not wish for violence but it’s time for us to end this horse s~~~! We can start by declaring ANTIFA a terrorist group just as the KKK is.

Welcome to the “Political Forum” and by the way, we do get “Worked up”. While our history may well not matter to you, it does matter to me. Like I said, I have no wish to re-start the Civil War because it would be far worse than the last one with far more deaths (and the last one holds the record here). This is about more than the past, it is about the lessons learned that apply today. It is about those who want more federal and global control versus those who want more given to the states and individuals. More important than that, we now have the majority of gun manufacturers. I am somewhat grateful for the gun grabbers in the North, they didn’t want those jobs so we got them. I’m not sure who would win in a modern Civil War (as in Southern, Midwestern and possibly Rust-Belt states succeeding) where the big toys are concerned but I agree that the South (and the others possibly joining) would kick ass when it comes to firearms. When one talks of larger toys, such a Civil War would be a Revolution as well. Freedom fighters do not charge tanks with guns, they use their guns to raid arsenals or shoot the guy operating the drones. The north would have to nuke American soil to stop it and not even the USSR was willing to do that to their own people. One can only imagine the worldwide backlash if this was done. Even without nukes, the casualty rates would be in the tens of millions at best comparing the US population to that of the Civil War of the early 1860’s. I for one would rather not see this happen and loathe the thought. Yet as Patrick Henry stated:

It continues further as ANTIFA is now targeting Teddy Roosevelt. This a Republican that the Republican establishment hated (sound familiar?). He started the National Park Service beginning with Yellowstone, started most Unions when they were fighting against Child Labor for very low wages and dangerous work conditions. Teddy also passed creating the Panama Canal and expanded the US Navy many times over. He was a Centrist as I also am. Good ideas NEVER come from the far left or far right, they come from the ones who determine the next president, they come from the center! That is why most candidates woo them on the 11th hour and throw them under the bus once elected.
