By supporting the lesser of two evils, you’re still supporting evil The only guy who’s not evil is Rand IMO
He wants to do away with the capital gains tax…that means super rich will pay practically NO taxes. Rich people aren’t punching a clock and collecting payroll and paying payroll rates like us middle classers…they make all their money off capital gains. I don’t think its fair some guy with millions/billions in the stock market can collect six/seven+ figures worth of dividends every year and pay 0% taxes on it while some recent college grad working a 40k a year entry level job trying to get his career going is going to be paying 20-30%…that is complete bulls~~~.
Now I’m not one of those socialist guys who want to see the rich get soaked, but I also think the richest paying the lowest tax rates is pretty f~~~ed up policy. Example…Warren Buffet was complaining a few years back he was paying a 17% effective tax rate while his secretary was paying around 32%. He makes millions/billions a year…his secretary probably not even 100k. Eliminating the capital gains tax means he’d be paying closer to 0% while his secretary would be forking over 1/3 still.
Rand, and any republican who wants to remove capital gains, which is most of them, wants practically no taxes on the rich while keeping middle class rates pretty close to where they are, and democrats just want to tax the f~~~ out of everyone. So yeah…at that point…I’d still consider it voting for the lesser of two evils.
The key to understanding Trump’s support right now doesn’t have much to do with Trump himself. It has to do with the complete and utter betrayal by the Republican leadership. They were given a landslide victory and were in a rush to surrender before the cavalry could arrive at the end of last year.
Now they are battling the cavalry. The support for Trump primarily started with the “shut down the border” comments he made. Since he stepped in the ring he is flushing out traitorous RINO’s. The more they attack him at this point, the stronger he will become if only so that the Republican base can tell the leadership “No, f~~~ you back”.
Politics and voting is a f~~~ing joke. However I love that he makes those spineless pussyboy Republican candidates squirm. I hope he keeps putting them on the spot to try and explain how they are going to handle the “uncomfortable” issues.
The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.Just remember how everyone 7 years ago though that Obama was a breath of fresh air and how he’s going to lead and clean up the Washington… and what came out of that. Now everyone is mesmerized with Trump the same way. Don’t be so quick to jump on Trump’ bandwagon.
He’s good friend with Clintons and have been supporting democratic causes most of his lifeproud carrier of the 'why?' chromosome

You can either have private sector masters or public sector masters. There’s always going to be the “1%”. I’d rather have a huge private sector with low unemployment as opposed to a huge public sector with the only employment being paid for by tax dollars stolen from the middle and lower classes.
I could care less if billionaires get out of paying taxes. Taxes are f~~~ing wasted by the government on stupid bulls~~~. They are still running a deficit. I’d rather have these billionaire businessmen free to expand their evil corporations and create more jobs on American soil.
I as a peon in this country would prefer to have steady employment and a wage that I can use to pay my expenses and have something left over to save for retirement. The smaller the government the better. Keep those bastards out of our lives.

Anonymous5I hope Trump wins.

Something like 25% of the voters are registered Republican. How many of them care about who is a RINO or not?

So, the GOP base can go on a purity campaign to make sure they get “Real Republicans” who stand for their issues, and then during presidential elections, proceed to get slaughtered. There is a problem of a bubble going on where the true GOP partisans are increasingly getting detached from reality. I would also question how many of the 25% registered Republicans are actually interested in purging the GOP of RINOs. Say it is most of them, then only about 20% of voters care about this purity.
If you want to know why the GOP leadership is acting like it does, and it may tick off the hardcore conservative base, is that it is seeing the GOP’s days are number unless they do something different. This is why there was a push to try to target Hispanic voters and win over a decent number of them.
"I am my own thang. Any questions?" - Davis S Pumpkins.
Fact of the matter is that the congressional leadership said they were going to do certain things and they flat out lied and are attacking the people who put them in power. The base now realizes just how badly leadership has been lying and for how long and feel as though we are currently under one party rule right now.
Love or hate Trump, he is forcing questions asked that they would prefer be left alone and is flushing out the rats. The best part is it is happening early so this show will be going on for a while. The dems have a ton of their own problems, but there is a full on civil war going on right now with the republican party and Trump has tapped into it.

The top 10% control 3/4 of the wealth in the country. If they all stop paying any capital gains taxes, which is where a majority of them make most of their money, the country would literally implode even if we cut out federal budget in half. The top 10% has an average net worth of 3.25 million. If they make 5% a year capital gains on that, they made 162,500…thats uh…probably more than what 99% of hourly workers gross in a year. The average yearly return in the market long term is about 9-10%…so realistically they could be pulling in 300k a year tax free if you want to get rid of capital gains.
The bottom 50% pays pretty much nothing in taxes…so you want people in the 50-90% range to foot the entire tax burden? You pretty much want a bunch of people making 30-100k a year to fund the entire government while people making many times that pay nothing, and people making less get to ride their back? Its bad enough now that 50% of population is carrying the other 50%…I couldn’t imagine how awful it would be if the middle 40% had to carry the bottom 50 and the top 10.
I don’t agree with the democrat mantra of tax the rich more so we can waste more, but I also don’t agree with taxing the rich at a lower rate than people making a fraction of what they make either…I think a flat tax is the way to go but income should be income whether its payroll or capital gains, and nobody should be paying 40% regardless of if your making 150k a year or 150m.

I care about who is a RINO and who isn’t as far as fiscal policies and belief in limited government go, and that’s pretty much it. Its just unfortunate the Republicans are branding each other RINO because they don’t tow the party line on issues I could give a s~~~ less about, like gay marriage.
