The following story happened to me 3 years ago.

My Ex NEVER answers her phone, lets the children phone me. She has also kyboshed Skype, Face Time and Sony PSN.

Imagine my surprise then, when I get a call at 6 p.m., while I was having a bite, from my daughter (10).

“Daddy, mummy has cut herself and she can’t stop the bleeding. You must come to the practice. Come quickly Dad!”

Anyone familiar with “Doc Martin?”- the situations where he grits his teeth and wades into self inflicted situations.

I went to my practice, picked up a suture kit and drove to the wife’s podiatry practice (which she took from me in divorce).

The Scene:
Ex syncopal, lying in the hallway with a 3 cm clean laceration across her left base of her thumb. Blood everywhere. The wound had 2 steristrips away from the wound partially stuck on north of the wound. My daughter was there (14 yo son not there), crying and upset.

My ex went and lay down on her podiatry couch, I opened my suture kit and went to work. Unfortunately, the wound was from a podiatry scalp- she slipped trying to cut some callus at the end of a hot sweaty day. The Lignocaine did not work too well; “Is it supposed to hurt?” she asked- so I infiltrated some more.
I started putting in the 4 stitches and bandaged up the wound- but the “Pillow Talk” blew my mind.

The F~~~ING BITCH was complaining about SCHOOL FEES and how I should be paying her more than the agreed child support. F~~~ ME! I facetiously reminded her that I had not told her what the cost of an after hours emergency visit was. She said somethin inane about charging an Ex wife.

More Background:
My Daughter was instructed to try an put steri-strips on the wound- but she fainted.
Then she asked the Daughter to call her Grandmother- F~~~ing Troll was not there-
Only then was I called.
BTW Failing to completely anaesthetise the wound was inadvertent.

My SOLE motivation for treating my Ex was to relieve my daughter’s anxiety and panic.

I did not raise a fee, and received no gift or thankyou other than a wan “If anything like this ever happens to you, you can call me”. As I said, the Ex never answers the phone and has failed to acknowledge the passing of my mother 4 months ago (no condolences from the kids either).

Wow, that’s some truly disgusting behavior from your ex-wife! I find it telling how in crisis situation you were concerned with your ex-wife and daughters well being first and foremost, while she was only worried about getting more child support! Well done on being the better person and rising above all that BS.

My heart felt condolences on the passing of your mother, my mum also passed away a little over four years ago now. Keep yourself busy, it does slowly get easier with time.

Same for me : my wife thinks I’m the slave of the family : cleaning the house, repairing the car … but I have never heard “thank you”. Instead of, she said that I am a bad husband and a bad father lol

Send her the bill for the emergency visit. If nothing else it’s negotiation ammo.

Keep a note, write everything down. Every contact with your children. Every contact with her. Every time you spend money on your kids. Every single thing.
You may not use it, things may work out to a better arrangement in time but f~~~ knows its better to have the documentation there than it is to need it and not have it.
I’ve been documenting everything and my ex knows it, and so shes bent over backwards to try and avoid courts cause she knows if it came to that, I may not win but god knows I’ll drag it out until shes too broke to keep going

there are no limits to how deep their sense of entitlement goes. And given how well rewarded it is by the courts and the media, it’s actually predictable… If you reward a behavior, you will have more of it. The best thing about the message of mgtow is that at the very least, it advocates refusing to reward that crap anymore than it already has been…

I know this will be seen as cruel… but you should have let her die. It is quite obvious she cannot handle life, work, and raising a daughter at the same time so she tried to kill herself. She is not fit for this world or to be a loving mother/wife. She didn’t even teach her daughter how to call 9-1-1! That is a horrible mother! “Oh hey dear, I regret slitting myself, call grandma…oh she not there?….call my asshole ex husband aka daddy”. :/

Use this as ammo to get your daughter back in a SAFE environment with a strong person instead of weak emotional bitch. Your daughter does not need that emotional drama/bulls~~~. She is probably already scarred.
