    Hi,

    (rant)

Sometimes I feel like I don’t get some part of the info to do some tasks given to me. Being omitted from some important mails. Sometimes I need to get tricky to get info and ask some people in person or get info with some fluff-talk and whisper. ( No women there around this problem, and the ones who are employed, behave well about work-related stuff. So it is other men > 90%)

“I don’t know” is common word at meetings.

I just wrote to a friendly guy working at the partner company to get info on some small details and then I got a dislike from my bosses for “not using the official contact” (for a stuff that is a few ten dollars of cost to solve, not big deal). Yeah, and the official contact at partner is on holiday (and bosses seem to not know that), I got answer in half a day, they had no answer (for their questions) for 2 weeks. Yet I’m the one who gets the scold, even if it was faster.

In other project, the group got scolded for not communicating to a partner in an urgent issue via only one contact person (even if everyone was in cc, and in the same room at our team). Also a scold for someone also using his gmail for some messages too (it was not secret stuff).

    (rant off)

Have you ever deal with slow / inefficient information flow at work? What did you do to get to know what you needed?

Otherwise I like the company, but these stupid things just annoy me.
