"I'm Just Soooo Loving Life Right Now!!"

As stated by a pumpkin I was hanging out with yesterday.

We spent the prior three days jumping out of planes. Tracking jumps, etc and took off from the drop zone last night to go to a Carl’s Jr about a half an hour away.

“I’m just so loving life right now”

WHY. . .

It had been a few months since we last jumped together so I asked her how her divorce went. (Married 11 years from age 25 to 36)

She was married to a guy that was about ten years older than her: Delta Airlines captain.

So loving life right now. . .

She gleefully and in the absence of any visible remorse told me what she got in the divorce.

01: Half of her ex-husbands 401k (Note: Delta matches 50% of pilots contributions – the guy had $740,000 in his)

02: He had to sign over the paid off house

03: She got to keep the 2018 paid off BMW he bought her two years ago

04: He has to maintained a $250,000 life insurance policy with her as the beneficiary

05: Spousal support $8,000 per month

We may it through the Carl’s Jr drive thru, with her having paid with a card and I had told her I would give her cash for my stuff which was $10.78

I had a ten dollar bill in my pocket and some random change. Exactly .55 cents

She counted out the change and said “Ok. You still owe me .22 cents”

When we got back to the drop zone, I walked over to my Jeep, knowing that change always falls in the seat, found a quarter and gave it to her.
