I may be over thinking this but my thoughts:

If your wife who has been destroying you up to this point and all of a sudden becomes sweet and wants to work things out she is probably just delaying because of the new law, she’s planning her exit but just plans to screw you a little bit more.

You need to escape now! Women file for divorce 70-80 % of the time, it would be interesting how much that is different over the next year.

I honestly feel sorry for any married and lurking guys. Most of them barely have an inkly of how utterly f~~~ed they may be at the hands of their special pumpkin and the legal system.

develop a “gambling problem” then seek treatment in divorce court. it is hard to whack a guy who admits a problem and is asking for help.

It may not be the best idea, but better risk lose some cash, than be 100% sure that you lose it. Follow what @M52 said, but after the 10k in money, buy a prepaid card NOT IN YOUR NAME, and keep depositing some money there, is a way to even if something goes wrong, you can have a plan B. Along with that, buy some bitcoin (or other coin), here there is a chance, if their prices crash, you lose some money, BUT better have 40% of what you have than give 100% to a c~~~.

The ideas are insane but, some game theory may explain why is better lose a little, than lose everything.

Great point. I would say it has more to do with the kids nearing their time of “emancipation” and one less check to write after their impending financial doom. I know for me and many other still married men. The clock is ticking until the kids are at or near 18 y/o. I feel really bad for guys in New York state as the laws dictate child support until 21 y/o. WTF?!
