    never could ‘stand’ doing squats when the rooster crows, but Bill Pearl thrived on it.

    I’ve got a lot of energy / alertness in the early mornings from about 6am in the summer. I’m good for shoulders and bench at that time, and cardio, even fasted.

    Squats and deadlifts destroy me so I keep them till 6pm so I can just go home and eat and not move. Then early bed. It’s a big central nervous system shock so take it easy afterwards and bang the carbs and protein into you straight after. I eat way more after squats and deadlifts days too. Not much at all carb wise doing a few curls and bench.
