…and they both have adopted children, and jobs, but one has a salary that’s a bit more than the other (let’s say a few thousand dollars more), how would you decide which one is going to get child support payments? And how would you divide the community property? And how would you decide who gets custody of the kids and visitation rights? I’d like to see how judges would rule on such cases since American courts usually have more sympathy for women in divorce cases and often give them custody of the children. In this case, we have two women who want to raise their kids, get child support payments, alimony, and a sizable chuck of their community property. If one woman gets the sweeter deal, the other woman will have to “man up” and send money to her ex every month.

I see it as the real dad of the children would have to pay the child support, or some nasty drek like that. Even in a divorce, I could imagine the women would think, “oh, I don’t want to hurt her, I just want to end it. But I know who the father of my child is, and I need him to pay up…” Lesbians hate each other (as previously mentioned, their DV rate is high and I’ve seen how that could be true first-hand), but they’d likely let their “team Women” mindset kick in.

I believe it is because of lower marriage rates, (MGTOW), is the main reason why the west has changed laws to allow homosexuals to ‘marry’.
After all, less heterosexual people getting married is a problem for the legal system, ’cause of less money for lawyer bastards when the inevitable divorce occurs.
Marriage is a business for lawyers, whether the marriage is traditional or same sex.
It has little to do with equality.
Marriage has been exposed as the economic contract that it is, whatever new spouses sexual orientation may be.

Simple. Whichever one looks more Butch to the judge, will pay for everything and lose all her stuff.

Seriously, the Family Law Industry will barely grow as a result of this. Fewer than 0.5% of marriage sentences are being served by same sex couples. If there was some huge pent up demand,
numbers would be higher–especially considering many same sex couples have been together and nagging each other without marriage. Even States like California are under 1%. Granted many are wealthy (especially gay men), but I’m not seeing it as a huge boon to the Family Law Industry.

It may not be a same sex couple, but that is where it heading. I’m thinking it might very well be part of the Feds plan, I mean, divorce is a billion dollar for profit industry that used to be handled by the state of residence. Now….no one knows, but I’m sure the Fed will tell us our opinion on the matter.
