So I saw a crew with heavy machinery removing and replacing railroad ties. About a dozen guys and one bad ass looking chick, that to be fair, looked like she was doing her share. What nomenclature would she get? And no I’m not trying to get anyone here to dust off their harpoons. I’m just trying to understand these freaks of nature. She was damned ugly looking I can tell you that and bigger than a couple of the dudes. Shoot!

I’ve come across one or two back when I worked in Construction, but they would often end up getting hurt and going out on Workman’s comp. if they had to do what was EXPECTED of Every Man regardless of how “manly” they appeared. It’s just safer and easier to give them a flag to hold, or an occasional broom to push.

I’ve also known a couple of those non-snowflake appearing types of blue collar gals .. one was working at a power generating station and the other was a USPS mail delivery woman who could actually get the mail through during snow storm. Neither had very long working span and both moved on or quit within a year or two.

Having said this .. and this is the key, imo..

Some may appear unique as compared to “Candy or Jessica” ..
yet, you get either of these blue collar appearing hearty work Gals to the Mall with a “husband” ..

You meet the oddities out there. These are the women that everyone says they are pretending to be like.

I mean if you were a woman, and liked being around men. Were one of those WEIRD ones that have been burned to death by your Female kind. Where would you go work at?

These women do exist in the rail world. And yes, they might not all be the most WOMANLY women. But whatever. Men really don’t care that work with them.

They know she is a woman. And the best part is that SHE KNOWS SHE IS A WOMAN and does not pretend she is a man.

She does her share, she gets her pay, she keeps her mouth shut and when she needs help she gets it.

Many women like this ARE lesbians. The rest that DO meet the criteria are this way ONLY due knowing that a life of a man taking care of her is not in the picture.

Today, most of these women are pretty happy having their own home. Facebook and a vibrator.

I think what makes this happen most often is a bitter pill of reality. She is always going to be second fiddle to every woman in the room. She knows things, she can do things, but this is just her trying to survive in a world that puts her last on the bin.

These women are not big on feminism. In the train world, of dangerous work, there are men that are people who know what’s going on and others that don’t.

Women DO like to be told what to do. And are rewarded for it. It’s these kinds of women that enjoy a house that works. Friends that are real. And a Very drama free life.

Most were raised by their fathers, so they are great people, but end up seeing what happens with women around them, and they wiring upstairs sort of breaks.

It happens, but not too often. They are still woman with all those faults. Still would take you for a ride if you marry them. Or know them. And if an opportunity DOES arise like a Sexual harassment claim, they have no problem their either.

It just makes them FEEL better when they have to do it. Basically, they can justify it.

Some of these women do VERY well in the Land of the labor gods of men. But really, not all men are cut out to lead. And some women just get the good genes to use their motherly instinct to their advantage.

Like all things, there’s a bell curve distribution at work here.

There are vanishingly small percentage of women who are physical equals to an average man. There’s an even more vanishingly small percentage who – for small periods of time – don’t exhibit the “basic bitches” mindset. None of that matters, however. They’ll either fail physically or mentally before long, more often mentally.

Remember that old saying? “You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.”

That’s what is at work here. They can keep up the facade now, but they won’t be able to for long.
