IBM announced Sunday it will acquire North Carolina-based open-source software company Red Hat in a $34 billion stock deal that the technology and consulting giant’s chief executive says will advance the company to the next step in cloud computing.

IBM and Raleigh-based Red Hat said in a joint statement that IBM would buy all Red Hat common shares at $190 apiece — 63 percent above Red Hat’s closing price Friday. The two companies said the deal, approved by their respective boards, is subject to Red Hat shareholder and regulatory approval and should be completed in the latter half of 2019.

———————-Hate it, all the software is going to end up in the hands of 3 or 4 companies.

But I just don’t see it being a REAL money maker. IBM is always going to be around. Its a safe bet. But as things are going for more automation, I have this suspicion that IBM is going to lead that market. Or buy out a company that does. IBM so far is running clean of the Social Media bulls~~~ that is going to drag down companies like google. They really have a chance of getting some REAL market penetration if they open up more of the medical field towards automation.

If there is ONE thing that every MGTOW man should do is to play a video game that is all about the money market in real time and see just where their funds go.

Tie that in with Bitcoin, and you got one hell of a game right there. And a GAME that makes you money. Now that is something that NEEDS to be developed.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

For IBM, it’s a good move as it will enable them to take on Microsoft. Microsoft’s share of the OS market has been declining and the timing is right.

It might be a good move for users as it will inject a lot of financial muscle and business expertise. On the other hand, IBM is a little too close to the government for my liking.

In effect that could mean the end of Red Hat as genuine open source. Backdoors, anyone?
