Here’s an article from Forbes magazine. Heard can only deduct half of her money she gave to charity. I said she’d owe $1 million in taxes. I stand corrected. It’s $1.4 million. Oh, and add another $400k or so in California taxes.

Did I say in an earlier thread that women end up in poverty after a divorce not because of how much they receive but because they suck and managing money?

That’s poetic justice. I said the charity would be something like ‘wimminz aid’, she had it earmarked to end violence against wimminz (the other half to children). apparently male victims of violence are undeserving to her.

I hope the tax man makes her bankrupt. I’ve as much sympathy for her as she has towards Mr Depp and towards male DV charities.

Under a sane, rational society, throwing away $7 million dollars, and creating $2 million dollars in debt, in less than a day, would be grounds for taking “conservatorship” of this woman’s assets away from her, and appoint a legal guardian for her.

I am sure that 99% of the members on this forum. If we each received $7 million dollars. We would be frugal and be set for life. With us still enjoying our lives with out new found wealth.

I would like to know which charity this money went to, because I would not be surprised that the charity in question was the “charity of someone’s back pocket”. I feel that none of this money will be seen help anyone but the person that owns the bank account the check is written too.

Pardon if my fruede is shauden but if she did indeed put herself $2mill in tax debt that dumbly, well, there’s payback for the false allegations.

Otherwise I would be impressed with such a gesture. But really, it was never “her money”. Giving away somebody else’s stuff is hardly ‘charity’ – just a transfer.

With a $2 mill transfer fee (yuk yuk yuk…)
