You know, guys, I really thought I won’t see you for a long time. Spent yesterday and the today’s morning thinking where we can find each other again. Yeah, it sounds sentimental. Maaan UP! 😀

Funny (not really), but when I lost electric yesterday, it also took down the village phone system, so there was no way to report or get info on the outage. Same situation with my favorite web site…

Enormous thank you to MG-Tower for the direct message on Twitter. Also tweeted out to everyone … and the same notice is on the login page for anyone wondering WTF.

Doesn’t look like tampering. But for any visitors … a core file which handles key stuff was damaged ( or somehow over-written accidentally? ) to make it APPEAR as if “nothing could be found”. A simple replacement from a backup took care of it.

I was relieved when I got an e-mail from another member saying a 404 error had taken down the site. I thought it was my computer, but MGTOW was the only site I couldn’t access. I’m betting it was a deliberate attempt to shut us down. But with all I’ve learned about computers and glitches, who knows?

Glad the sites back up. I scanned for info too and couldn’t find anything. I was reluctant to send an email to the site as I didn’t want to flood it in case it had already been reported

Nah a 404 is just a communication error between your computer and the site.

I checked and the site was still showing as up so I knew it wasn’t a hack.

Sites are made up of hundreds of lines of code so s~~~ happens usually after design changes to the site.

In the case of a REAL (server) outage, a 24 hour team monitors. But this was a “fake” outage with everything operational …. but one file making it LOOK Like an outage — when there really wasn’t any. Restoring took seconds.
