Because claiming to *know* something exists without a shred of proof and telling people they’re going to “hell” for not subscribing is somehow less arrogant?
If Christians *knew*, it would be called knowledge, not faith.
There is a thread already dedicated to this topic you can choose to read it and comment in it or ignore it no one is forcing you. Also many of us do not think you are going to go to hell for not believing in God, that is up to God to decide when the time comes that is the great thing about God he gave you free will to live your life how you want no one is forcing you to do anything.

The Bible states the “faithless” will go to hell. So, how can a Christian claim to not believe this? When Christians claim they don’t necessarily agree with something in the Bible, they are essentially creating their own religion, which ultimately means they’re creating their own “God”, as well, and this raises an interesting question. If one possesses the power to create their own religion and God, what in the world would they even need a God for when they can just simply wish things into existence??
Aunt Esther: Fred, I'll have you know this body was blessed by Mother Nature!! Fred: Well, too bad your face was cursed by Father Time!
I except to burn in hell.

NO!!! The bible DOES NOT state the faithless will go to hell!
The word “hell” does not appear in the Bible because:
(1) The Hebrew word Sheol clearly means “the grave,” not “hell.” Everyone went to Sheol when they died, not just the wicked. Sheol was not a place of suffering, because in Job 14:13, a much-beset Job asked to go to Sheol to escape suffering! He clearly meant that if he died, his suffering would end in the grave. Sheol was not a place where God was absent, because King David said in Psalm 139:8 that when he made his bed in Sheol (i.e., when he died and was laid in his grave), God would still be with him. And Sheol was not an eternal inescapable prison, because in Psalm 49:15 the Sons of Korah said that God would redeem them from Sheol, by which they meant that they would be resurrected from the grave to new life. Furthermore, the prophet Ezekiel and the apostle Paul agreed that all Israel would be saved, and yet in Genesis 37:35, Israel himself said that he would be reunited with his son Joseph in Sheol. How can all Israel be saved if Israel himself is in “hell”? In each case Sheol clearly means “the grave” or “the abode of all the dead, good and bad” and cannot be interpreted as “hell” unless “hell” is heaven!
(2) The Greek word Hades also clearly means “the grave” not “hell.” Everyone went to Hades when they died, not just the wicked. Hades contained heavenly regions like the Elysian Fields and the Blessed Isles. The Greek hell was Tartarus, which is discussed below, in section 4.
(3) The place name Gehenna does not mean “hell” because Gehenna is a valley in Israel also known in Hebrew as Gehinnom, or the Valley of Hinnom. Today Gehenna is a lovely park and tourist attraction. Wonderful archeological discoveries have been made there, such as the healing pool of Siloam and the oldest Bible verses ever discovered, inscribed on small silver amulets. Those verses are the benediction “The LORD bless thee and keep thee; the LORD make his countenance to shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee.” Those are wonderfully comforting words to have been discovered in “hell,” don’t you think?
(4) The Greek hell was Tartarus. This is the only word in the Bible that actually means “hell” in either Greek or Hebrew. But the word Tartarus appears only one time in the entire Bible, in 2 Peter 2:4. And that verse is about fallen angels awaiting judgement, so its hell is not eternal and is not for human beings. The only verse in the Bible that contains a word that actually means “hell” seems to be about a place where Satan and other fallen angels await judgement.

it is because Satan is pulling the strings and is in fact coordinating it all. Human beings are just children, Satan is an evil that is older than us, and especially any of us today in our lives. Without God’s word and following His guidance, it is a complete mismatch. And even following God’s mercy, it is still difficult, although He makes the yoke light for those that submit to His guidance.

Anonymous0Do any of you men make a distinction between spirituality and religion? If so, what do you so as the difference?
Yes. Christianity and religion are not the same thing. Religion is a set of organized rules, laws, traditions, rituals; man centered theology that attempts to reach God.
Jesus condemned religion (Mathew 23). Christianity is a relationship with Jesus, a God centered pathway. In Christianity everything is already done for you. There’s nothing for you to do but to accept, in faith, Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross to pay for your sins (past, present and future).

A perfect definition. There is only you and the Lord of the universe. No need for a middleman. This is what p~~~ed the Sadducees and Pharisees off. No more easy money. Follow the money.

Sadly not…
Romans 3:28 states, “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law” (NKJV). Martin Luther, in his German translation of the Bible, specifically added the word “allein” (English ‘alone’) to Romans 3:28 -a word that is not in the original Greek.

2 Corinthians 5:10,”For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad,” and Revelation 22:12, “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done,” describe a future judgment according to man’s works.
When I look at all the verses in the bible concerning this topic I come to the conclusion that regeneration is by faith and judgement is by works.
Its funny isn’t it…all the Christians that are MGTOW are the special snowflake christians that would be considered heretics by any other christians. You need to change the meaning of every other word to make it the ‘right’ definition and make sure you use the right translation or edition.
It reminds me of holistic medicine practitioners; they think that the peer review process and evidence-based medicine is not necessary for treating patients. Surely it can’t be that a piece of text is open to interpretation so there are many valid interpretations.
This is the trademark of any snake-oil salesman. None of the other christians are real christians, if you listen to me then you will hear the ‘real’ words of christ.

Yes, there is a big difference between spirituality and religion. Religion has more to do with materialistic things. Laws, taxes, bodily punishments etc. It comes from the latin ligare (meaning to tie or bind). Think of the word ligament or ligature in this sense. Re-Ligare, meaning to re-tie or re-bind, which is exactly what the Romans used Christianity for. If you look at the dark ages and middle ages, the Church was primarily concerned with property rights and taxes. At one time you had to buy an indulgence to get your loved ones out of purgatory when they died. This stuff wasn’t cheap either. When a baby was born you had to hike over to the Church and have them baptized because if your baby died it would not be saved. Religion is essentially a money making scheme.
Spirituality is very different. I will use Jesus Christ as an example. He went his own way and spiritually connected with God the Father. He had confrontations with the Religion of his time the Pharisees, who were busy making money in the temple. A spiritual journey has nothing to do with materialism. You don’t have to follow any Dogma. Its your personal communication with the God. Spirituality will set you free, Religion will Re-Bind you.

Good post! That’s extremely interesting! I never knew that.
But that’s way too much new knowledge for a Sunday morning so I think that I’ll go for a nap now…Its funny isn’t it…all the Christians that are MGTOW are the special snowflake christians that would be considered heretics by any other christians. You dont even have a point.
I didnt change anything.
The OT was originally written in hebrew and the NT in greek.
If you want to check if a the translation is accurate, go back there. And btw. Luther reportedly did very well know that he added the word (alone) even though it wasnt in the original text.
Thanks for answering his questions brothers great stuff. I am noticing a lot of people are automatically assuming that if you are a Christian that means you have to go to church and follow the doctrines outlined by the Church and its interpretation of The Bible. For me personally and a lot of other Christians I have known we rarely go to church. I can count on both hands the amount of times I went to church my entire life.

The problem with the above is you are assuming we are selling something to begin with. We don’t get any money or materialistic thing out of telling you about God other then the satisfaction that you at least tried to seek him out. I have said in other threads in the past The Bible has many metaphors that are open to interpretation for many people from all walks of life because each person experiences life differently. Of course organized religions of many denominations will have a different viewpoint on the teachings of Christ and The Bible and I can understand why your experience has been as above because some of them are like snake-oil salesmen trying to get you into their church.
You don’t have to go to church or have a specific denomination like Catholics or Mormons tell you how to worship and have a relationship with God that was never Gods intention religion is a construct of man. You find God by looking inward you will not find him in a Church or get any fact based real world evidence that is why it is called faith. At the end of the day no one is forcing you to believe you can do what you like if you don’t believe in God that is your right and I respect your decision.
No one is trying to sell you or anyone else that God exists we are telling you based on our own life experiences he does and answering any question people who don’t believe ask. We are not here to convince you about anything it is like the Red Pill either you are going to find God on your own or you won’t we can’t force you to open your eyes. If that makes us snowflakes for having a discussion so be yet doesn’t bother me one bit. I could care less if I am viewed as a heretic by a religions organization because at the end of the day I am right with God and no man on earth will be able to judge me only God can.
JESUS SAID HE WOULD NEVER LEAVE ME OR FORSAKE ME, MUCH LIKE FEMALES DO TO ME. GOD MADE THE FEMALE AS A HELPER. GOD AN ADAM HAD A SPECIAL AGAPE LOVE, THAT WAS NOT MENT FOR THE FEMALE. I TOO DO NOT ATTEND CHURCH, THIS FORUM AND WEBSITE IS MY CHURCH. I TRY AND STEER YOUNGER AND OLDER MEN TO A HAPPIER PLACE.
LILITH IS THE HEAD SUCCUBUS AND SHE LIVES ON THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON
Anonymous3I occasionally attend church, although mostly just as a place to do prayers, which we’re supposed to do throughout the day. Generally speaking when I am working, I just drop by a church on breaks and pray. Most churches also have places to sit, sometimes parks or gardens, which are nice as well.
But I don’t really belong to a church or do much with any. There is always something off with them. And the people that do, I usually call them Churchians, but as I’ve written before, they have a Cultural Marxist religion I don’t believe in. When you give them Scripture they are desperate to twist it to fit into their mindset they’ve been trained in for this world.
I took the opposite tact, and abandoned this world with what I’ve learned in Scripture.
And it very much is like the red pill, you find it on your own and accept it, then find other things that all line up without you having to perform any mental gymnastics. That’s the beauty of spirituality and finding the right path to God.
Also God changes you and does it step by step. I am not the same person I was a few years ago. Several years ago I was the same liberal atheist that smugly thought he was smarter than everyone else and that God didn’t exist, but various things happened that showed me He did and what His word is. And then I threw myself into finding more, and while it has had its ups and downs and there’s been a lot of depression and challenges with it (I was unquestionably “happier” denying God and just merely living hedonistically), with what I know now, I fear denying God as I don’t think I would be forgiven this time. I think God’s mercy is enough to forgive me in the past, but not now that I know. Now it wouldn’t just be ignorance and foolishness, it would be intentionally denying the truth that I know full well.
Brutus when he denied Christ three times and turned him in to the authorities for money.
Thanks for the clarification. And all this time I thought it was Bluto who denied Him 3 times.
monk mode, how do i message you?
