    So before I start, I did not give these gentlemen the full MGTOW red pill. I knew better than to do that because all I would have heard was the typical NAWALT. Instead I told the truth.

    Background, first person I helped was a nephew of a mutual friend who was divorced raped. He is a repeat offender that can’t break the divorce cycle but he was kind enough to realize it was not too late to save his nephew from making a bad decision. The nephew (I don’t want to use names for obvious reasons) had a demanding job that could only be attained by studying in a specific field and he was financially compensated quite well. His fiancé had a generic degree from a not so prestigious school. The nephew had no debt, his fiancé had several debts. One of which, you guessed it, student loans. He felt he needed to wife her up.

    Here are the questions I asked:

    ME= So I understand you are looking to get married soon?
    Him= Yes, I think the time is right
    ME= ok if you feel you’re ready great. I am not here to talk you out of it, but what I am here to do is make certain you don’t make a mistake.
    Him= Ok
    ME= What can you tell me about her financial habits?
    Him= Not much, I don’t know.
    ME= Do you know her credit score? How much debt she owes? Student loans?
    Him= Don’t know her credit score, she owes about 90K in student loans.
    ME= If you were to divorce without a prenup, guess who owes half of that. Also while you were married, guess who will be expected to contribute to those payments. If you had a prenup, and you wanted to split, who do you think a judge will handle your case?
    Him= *Silence* (about 15 secs) I don’t know.

    So basically that part turned him off, but what really got him was the part of him being expected to pay her debt, to include the car note. He said he will wait for the engagement until she fixes her credit. Not perfect, but he is thinking.

    The next situation involves a co-worker who dated a harpie for almost 3 years and he recently broke up with her because she was a bitch. It started about 2 months ago when he was complaining about her and I asked him this simple question, “Does she enhance your happiness?” Of course his response was like not really, walks on eggshells etc. So then I stated just think what marriage would be like. I think that scared him straight. He broke up with her this past week and basically stated he got tired of her s~~~ty attitude and her mean personality around him was too much.

    If it costs you your peace of mind, then it is too expensive.

    Well done, Sir.

    I hope they make it but they seem unthinking and I fear still controlled by pussy.

    Fingers crossed.

    Great job.
    The masterful use of questions.

    Let’s see. I can take on $90K of debt that I know about, plus more I haven’t heard about . . . not yet. Or I can rent a high class escort for $300, pay her in cash, and say good bye.

    Decisions, decisions.

    It wasn’t long ago that 90K would have bought both of my houses. Student debt was an area that was identified and exploited and is now keeping many of these kids from entering the first home buyer arena. No young man should be willing to assume someone else’s debt for access to a body. Keep your eyes open wide guys, it was a minefield when I was coming up, but now, you don’t stand a chance between the females of today and the court system. Marriage is a liability.

    Good job with the questions MM.

    I found asking questions and letting men come up with answers work better than lecturing. Men already know the answers. It hits them that much harder when they say it out loud.

    If it costs you your peace of mind, then it is too expensive.

    she owes about 90K in student loans.

    What bank in their right mind would give out that kind of money on a student loan.

    If you were to divorce without a prenup, guess who owes half of that.

    If you have to get a pre-nup to protect yourself in the event of a divorce, then it’s so bad there’s no point in getting married in the first place.

    Which basically means there’s no point in getting married ever. It has nothing to offer men.

    No young man should be willing to assume someone else’s debt

    They used to come with a big fat dowry. Now they come saddled with massive debt, expecting him to pay it off.

    Why the f~~~ would any man even consider marriage?

    The kind of bank that sells that s~~~ty loan and tens of thousands of other s~~~ty loans to some financial s~~~lord, who then bundles them all together into a pretty but volatile pile of s~~~ called a CDO.

    Then the financial s~~~loard sells this steaming pile of pretty s~~~ to the dumb-ass managing your retirement account.

    In the not-to-distant future, enough people will have defaulted on their education loans that these towering piles of steaming s~~~ collapse in on themselves, just like they did in 2008.

    If you have Netflix, watch “The Big Short.” The movie describes this whole thing in a very entertaining way.

    They are doing this with car loans now. Bundling the car loans and selling the bundle as an investment vehicle (no pun intended). Expect to see a big s~~~ storm in car sales in the near future.

    TaxGuy, I’ve read that up to 1/3 of car loans made in the past three years are sub-prime. This will not end well.
