This has become a very common trend in new games of late, put in a “strong female protagonist” make her OP as crap, and whine about how great she is to all those misogynistic males!

I’m sick as hell of it, I used to tolerate it if the gameplay was good enough to cancel out the bad story, but I can’t even stomach that anymore, therefore I came to the conclusion if a game has a female protagonist only*, I refuse to buy it.

*(This doesn’t apply to RPGs like mass effect where you can choose your gender, just female only games with SJW agendas.)

I vote with my wallet, and I say enough, girls don’t play games. (Except maybe candy crush.)

I agree with you and won’t play as well. Here here.

And it isn’t just video games. It extends to film, TV, literature, comic books, etc.

It looks like everything out there is following the Three Gs Rule.

    Girls
    Guns
    Gore (or plain old violence)

The rule states as long you have these three things, your work is guaranteed to be a success. At least, that’s the idea.

Lately, this trend is becoming apparent in popular works. If you stick women on the cover art, add a token female who kicks ass, and/or make them a majority in the character cast, your work is practically guaranteed to be popular and turn in a profit. Unfortunately, I’m sure you guys can list many examples.

We are seeing the Three Gs Rule more frequently because of feminism, plus the fact that everyone seems to be out of ideas. So they just take existing works and slap females on it.

But the problem with that is making these females into these badass, ass-kicking stars is a deal-breaker, primarily because it’s unrealistic. How many women do you know would put themselves into harm’s way to save someone?

But hey, it’s good to see the bulls~~~ behind “female leads” and deny the creators any money. Hit them where it hurts, their wallets. Maybe then will content creators stop pushing their agenda onto us.

    There are exceptions.

Black Lagoon is a wonderfully dark anime/manga series about badass women. Though, that series is respectful towards the men in the cast, except for the extras. And even children and women die in the series.

Funny that you mention Mass Effect. A while ago, I decided to have somewhat of a chuckle. I selected the standard female Shepard to play with in Mass Effect 2, woke up in the Cerberus facility and just stood there when the 3 robots gunned me down. So much for spending millions of dollars on a female!

I then restarted as a modified male Shepard and kicked ass and saved the goddamn universe, because that’s what we, men, do.

Note that this was after doing atleast 30+ playthroughs ever since the game came out, just for chuckles 😉

Diablo 3 had the option of playing every class in either gender. Generally I prefer the men, but the female wizard is just so spunky.

Women are better at multitasking? Fucking up several things at once is not multitasking.

Why would i. It is my fantasy. When I pay money for a comic, game, book, movie, I want to imagine myself as the hero.

When he slays the dragon, I slay the dragon in my mind.

It just doesn’t work if the lead is a female. It isn’t sexism or misogyny if I don’t buy a female lead. It just means nothing to me.

    And that’s just it:
    – girls and women see themselves as the hero if a woman is the hero in the stories;
    – boys and men see themselves as the hero if a man is the hero in the stories, but that is somehow wrong, sexist and misogynystic.

And stupid s~~~ like that can still make my blood boil. Seriously, shut the f~~~ up and make your own stories, movies and games, WITHOUT the help of men. Any men. See how that goes.

    Look at oceans 11

    Ghostbusters

    Star Wars

D.C. And Marvel comics as of late

And just about anything else you can think of, they will ruin it.

I am seeing it as a trend that will die out soon enough. Once enough men stop buying feminist infested crap then companies will lose money and go back to making good games rather than political ones…or at least that is the plan

if not then just buy Japanese games – the Japs couldn’t give a f~~~ about Western SJWs so there games are still brilliant (pretty much every game I have bought this year has been Japanese developed and they are all great)

SW Battlefront 2 this year is going to have a SJW singleplayer story but I want the game for the VR missions that are going to be added so I will buy it second hand cheap. That way the publishers don’t get my money and validation of their feminist bulls~~~ but I get to play more Star Wars VR

There are a s~~~load of games to choose from these days, more than you can realistically play, so you might as well be strict with your criteria and avoid games that engage in censorship as well as having features you hate, that way you can game all you like without dealing with the Politically Correct bulls~~~.

At the end of the day, it just has to make sense. I wouldn’t mind it if the said female protagonist was a “real woman”, like Ripley in Aliens for example.

Instead, they just opt for a fake female protagonist who is practically a man in every aspect except she’s a she for the sake of it.

and Sarah Connor are two female main characters of two of the biggest film franchises in history and most people love those films (including most MGTOW)…and that is because they sympathetic characters who grow into their roles. In both their first films they are scared s~~~less of what is going on – like any of us would be – and in the second film they are experienced and help to deal with it all but aren’t mary sues

I wish that t~~~ who made episode 7 had watched those films before he ruined star wars but he is too much of a stupid c~~~ to have done that (cool stuff thread has a great review of that film and comments on him)

It’s funny you mention aliens because that is a favorite movie of mine, but if you remember James Cameron didn’t have a problem showing the men being MEN, Hicks saves Ripley quite a few times in that, and Ripley didn’t bitch about Cis-gendered white males.

I play as a chick alot in skyrim. Dont know why. I guess because i like killing everything while running around naked ?

I can’t remember the last AAA videogame I payed for. In the last year I have pretty much only played Skyrim special edition and Diablo 3. I got Skyrim free since I already had it on Steam, and the last money I payed for D3 was when the expansion came out.

what about a game that you play as a female character, but she is not op, the game don’t push a feminist narrative and the game has a very solid gameplay?

I became a MGTOW because this was the only logical solution for a man survive in a world replete of gynocentrism and biased against men!

If that is the case I’ll look it up and make an informed decision, I did play alien isolation awhile back, but the protagonist wasn’t a stuck up butch lesbian.

Even if it’s not a female protagonist, nowadays there is still always some sort of female authority figure or OP female somewhere along the line, usually being really bitchy and stupid but getting a pass.

I don’t like playing newer games too much as a result. Most of the better stuff is older. Lets me save on hardware upgrades too.
