Something minor like administrator of conservation or some off shoot political post like that. Not trying to be governor or anything though I do think libertatians have a better shot in state elections and could get more done that way.
The main reason I’m considering becoming libertarian is I think they’re open to hearing left wing methods of implementing free choice far more than democrats are. Here’s an example:
Democrats have made it clear a goal of theirs is to raise the minimum wage to fifteen dollars an hour.
Libertarians are opposed to minimum wage and says it’ll hurt small businesses.
Statistically look at a country like Denmark. Which has no minimum wage but a higher standard of living as well as is consideted number 8 instead like…number 28 in places investors want to gamble.
Why?
Well for one I think lower population density means jobs are not only avaliable but needed. It’s an employee market over there. It ain’t ever gonna be Denmark here but with less abortion restrictions and immigration enforcement it could improve.
Secondly they have a corporate tax of 78% instead of 18%. Meaning the government makes it’s revenue and can provide market solutions via state intervention.
Now I know libertatians on paper are avoidant of Keynesianism but I’d have an easier time convincing a libertarian on raising corporate taxes than I would convincing dems not to raise minimum wage or put caps on immigration. The fact is libertarians opposite globalism as well. So corporate tax would only be left-libertarian.

Anonymous14Do it. To me Libertarians are the only ones with their heads on straight… The Right and Left are both special interest in one way or another for the most part. And both are clearly in favor of f~~~ing huuuuuuge government.
You can get a guy on the Right who vehemently opposes having his tax dollars fund abortion, then turns right around and defends Trillions spent on never-ending wars, which by the way most people don’t want. And the wars are pretty special interest in various forms if you ask me… They sure are not in my interest, and are only making things WORSE.
Chomsky and Paul, the two sides of Libertarianism…You seem more of a Chomsky, I am more Paul, either way, I think what they have to offer is far better than the bulls~~~ we have today.
The Left? Oh man, just f~~~ them on most fronts…

Oh god don’t be libertarian with that mentality.
Btw
If you want to reign in corporate power and those issues of imbalance you need to understand sound/honest money and why our current fiat system permits fractional reserve banking and systemic abuse. The fictitious and arbitrary money supply by central banks is at the heart what is creating most of the current economic mess. The wealthiest people like Zuckerburg don’t even need to make millions in income for instance, they can report in accounting terms that he makes 1 dollar of income per year and yet the net worth in the company he is in charge of allow him to run their lives completely on credit debt. Left wing ideas only massive create holes for people to skirt and abuse the system. You fix our monetary policy back to sound money however and you will force businesses to pay their employees real money which will force them to stop making extravagant and make it difficult to buy into bad investments, and finally force banks to stop their fraud schemes.

Anonymous14I am with Big Boss on the FIAT money debacle, his advice is sound. Our banking system is the root cause of the everyman’s situation of constant decline. Sure, an argument of minimum wage keeping up with the rate of inflation is logical, but will never happen. S~~~, I don’t know why I am wasting my breath really. Those in charge of and profiting from the Ponzi scheme that is FIAT money own us all, it won’t change. No new banking laws… No fixes coming down he pipes at all because most people are directed into arguments on both sides that never focus on the big problems.
Too many dumbasses really for any hope of things getting better in any meaningful way.
*also my writing and grammar was s~~~ because mobile sry
TFM actually provides some insight into socialized medicine vs price here.

Anonymous1Libertarian, is just common sense. The Elite will keep hitting us with the Left and Right combo until we are worse off then our Serf Ancestors. Rejecting the party system is a good start to get back to common sense politics.
As far as I can tell USA has been full blown socialist since FDR and the “New Deal.” Keynesian Economics was their Ideology. I liked Adam Smith “Wealth Of Nations” much better. The “New Deal” promised free handouts and programs to a generation of voters. They wrote the bill off to the future. Of course their great-grandchildren (Us) are now facing the Debt Crisis. The “New Deal” borrowed money from the future to pay for the present. Thanks, FDR, now we’re f~~~ed.
Libertarian, solution is to cut back government spending and programs. The only problem is, we have a whole bunch of people dependent on these programs. They cannot live without the welfare state taking care of them. They will do everything they can to stop the Libertarians from doing the common sense solution. All those single Mommies with 15 bastards at home living off the government. They grow up and vote, and when they do they vote for more welfare programs.
If enough of us, can get into politics on a local level maybe, we can stop the madness.

Retired people living off of government medical coverage and assistance is also the enemy to progress. Anyone who runs for any office telling the truth that welfare and entitlement programs need to be cut entirely will likely never be elected. America needs a non-interventionist policy because meddling in foreign affairs may be a money maker for some people, but it’s killing our debt. Just like entitlements and wasteful spending are hurting our debt. Everyone knows we can’t continue down this path, but people don’t care because getting free s~~~ however they can is beneficial to them and they’re not fond of cutting off their nose in spite of their face.
Heavicidal: I am libertarian and agree with most of what you say, but it isn’t so much the single mothers that maintain the two party system. On the one side, teachers, and most government employees vote Democrat. Rural voters, evangelical Christians, and many small businessmen vote Republican. The media broadcasts entertainment instead of news, a constant contest/horse race between the parties instead of the real merits and costs of policies and legislation. Instead, it’s usually a s~~~load of drama in an echo chamber of like ideas, e.g. CNN promoting Dems, and Fox promoting republicans.
Iruleme: Absolutely, those retirees and their 3rd rail of American politics, social security, are untouchable because they turn out to vote in large numbers. Even at 48 years old I’d like to just cash out and invest the money in private sector. OOPS, can’t cash out a bunch of IOU’s, can I? Gov already frittered away the money I paid in all those years, didn’t it, haha.
I had to go get a part today (for emergency equipment repair), and got caught in traffic. I work in manufacturing, the hourly guys commented traffic was bad because of rush hour and understood why it took me an hour to return. I explained it was bad not because of rush hour, but was bad because we didn’t expand roads, because US taxpayers were getting f~~~ed hard in the ass with little money spent on infrastructure for productive citizens driving to and from work, they just laughed their asses off and agreed of course. I did add I was a bit of an extremist.
You gotta be left Trump about it.
“The government can give you free s~~~… But not if single mothers are getting free s~~~ too. Make Tammy and Clarissa pay the taxes while you sit at home and raise a baby’s momma. If being a man is so easy women can do it right?”Men will go out and vote for that. Maybe betas and certainly women won’t but hells if the narrative is out there that already changes the meta and just uncucking the left would do a world of good.

Anonymous1I completely agree with both of you, FrankOne and IRuleMe.
