I’m coming in live on generated power, started it under the deck out of the rain OUTSIDE not even in a confined space, 10kw 16hp, within seconds I filled the area with CO2/NO/HC started feeling sick on the spot, I usually start it 25 ft away from the house on a service industry cord but it’s dark and pouring rain, by the time I rolled it away running I started feeling the effects of the poison, I also run an industrial fan in front of the exhaust to give the heavier than air fumes a push down to the stream and follow that down hill, that’s how still the air is, no air moving whatsoever, prime CO2 poisoning conditions.

To think a woman would walk and talk her boyfriend to live and die in that hell!

    Tell me women aren’t f~~~ed?

Anyway keep safe brothers, another MGTOW safety tip! Don’t forget the exploding Blitz gas cans without fire gulp screen, explodes and covers you in flaming gasoline. Don’t let fumes f~~~ you, feminism isn’t the only hazardous fumes!

Stay safe bros, the power is on the MGTOW WAY! DIYS!

I have a little Honda EU2000 and point the exhaust into my backyard and close all windows/doors. People actually die by running generators in their homes. I also have special contempt for the dolts who plug them into their home receptacles. Linemen get killed from this practice.

My friend’s a lineman, he said the same thing, I hit the 200a master off on switch on the service panel then tap into a 240 60 amp outlet with a deadly stinger, not for the type of person that doesn’t commit procedure to absolute memory. It runs everything, 240 well pump, lights, and AC. Electrocution is a real hazard when hardwiring a generator, in the 80s I watched one sparking against the ground, we couldn’t figure why the lights were flashing then found the ground wire and neutral was reversed becoming +AC ground, wet shoes and touching the generator would have made a good contact but with the voltage drops you would have been able to let go, provided you didn’t have a heart attack! I ground everything with copper wire, I have a copper ground wire going from the service panel to the steel well casing for lightning strikes, also lightning protection on everything else, least resistance to ground through a copper wire rather than uncontrollably darting and dashing throughout your house, we get allot of strikes around here, I took these measures after being energized by a lightning strike field that zapped me through a drill press using me as live resistance, I would compare that zap to about 50v AC. My brother’s pressure fence post was exploded like a grenade! The post 6 ft away was embedded with fragmented large splinters, the post that was struck was gone to the ground and it looked like a mole colony’s tunnels were exploded radiating away from strike.

Hey C-Pig, I’m sure you guys down there have a zillion lightning strike stories!

I see f~~~ing idiots in boats all the time during prime conditions. You don’t want to be the tallest object in an aluminum lightning dish in the middle of the lake, yet I see it all the time! A good strike like the one that exploded the fence post would have anyone looking like a burnt chicken in an aluminum throw away pan all covered in charred smoke…

A few years ago a house behind mine, had the peak of it’s roof blown out by a lightning bolt during a storm at some point. Wouldn’t have known, except for the missing top of the roof and charred pieces of wood sticking out.

I call it failure season for that very reason. This Summer has not been quite as bad though the forecast is calling for plenty this week. Nothing scares me more than being the highest thing for 2 miles in a thunderstorm. I’ve had my hair stand up from the charge differential once.

I’m glad you made this topic. The Honda needs its quarterly workout. Gotta score some Ethanol free gas first. The coolest thing about the EU2000 is that even at full speed you and I could have a normal volume conversation with it in the middle. You can’t even hear it running outside my property.

    ^ This.

How hard is it to open the main breaker first? Or better yet get a decent automatic transfer switch installed as required by code. Codes exist for a reason. Sometimes the reasons are derpy, but at least there’s always a reason.

At the very least, isolating yourself from the mains first means you’re not giving away free electricity from your generator to your neighbors by creating a little power island.

Or the idiots who insist on golfing in thunderstorms. They’re the tallest thing around in a wide field of grass, usually on a hill, and they’re holding a metal rod over their heads. What could possibly go wrong?

I just did a search on lightning damage. When I did my lightning protection I looked into it and read where it said not to make 90 degree bends in the wire, to keep it heading straight as possible and when it must change directions to use gentle sweeps, otherwise the charge could “leap” off the ground wire, through the house to an alternative ground source, high voltage does things like that, get close enough to a high voltage line and it will leap out and touch you. I know knew a guy that was killed painting a building. I’ve set up ladders countless times and the first thing I look for is where all the power lines are then set up the ladder where it can’t hit a line even if it’s accidentally knocked over.

Another thing ALWAYS CALL DIG-SAFE 811 it’s toll free! Some of the jobs I did that they marked left florescent paint everywhere marking everything from underground power lines, water mains, sewer lines, gas lines, you name it,,, only a fool would dig up this modern civilization without calling DIG SAFE, and don’t feel you’re too small to call them, they’ll come out and mark your place even if you’re a home owner…

    Exploded mole tunnels

Followed the metal step flashing hidden under the shingles

You would think that (un) common sense would take over

like setting the generator outside, attaching a ground wire and using a transfer switch to connect.

    Instead we see

Running generator in the garage, using frayed extension cords or my favourite, adding gasoline to a running one!

    Oh well,nature fixes stupid

Lifes a bitch, but you don't have to marry one!

Back to normal Grumpy,,,, unless you’re talking about all power and authority fleeced from men then added to women! In that case I’m well insulated!

    Power failures suck ass!
There is a flood warning where I live.
Fortunate for me, I don’t live in a flood zone.

Every time something bad happens, especially during a power outage, women almost always send the men to work on it. They never end up doing that s~~~ themselves.

Every time we thought a tornado was going to hit us back in the country where I lived, my mom would always send my dad outside to do a task. She never got up and did it herself.

Women are definitely f~~~ed. Especially if more than half the population of men become MGTOW within the next few decades.

Diesel generators are higher efficiency, reliable and somewhat cleaner with C02 production. For short blackouts I would suggest a battery bank with an inverter.

A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!
