Growing up in the late 80’s through the 90’s my two closest friends were my cousins. One a year above me and one a year below me. Perfect memories of the usual tomfoolery of youth. Riding bikes, playing baseball, horsing around by Lake Michigan, and starting our very first band.

One of my cousins moved away 10 years ago to become a college professor in music. Totally lost touch with the guy; he became an insufferable bleeding heart type with a Holier Than Thou attitude about him.

Every once in a while I spy on his twitter feed, mostly to know he is still alive somewhere out in the world.

I just checked him out and this is his latest endorsement.

I have a family member who thinks that “democratic socialism” is the cure for all of society’s ills. He tells me that I should be forced to support those on “entitlement” programs because I am “lucky enough” to have a job. Hang on just a damn minute: there’s no luck involved; I busted my ass to EARN a degree in a STEM field and I bust my ass at work. I give to private charities that benefit veterans and the disabled, but I should NOT be forced to pay for people who breed children they KNOW they won’t be able to feed without public assistance, nor for people who are able to work but choose not to.

Great post Crisp. Many on the Left are good people, they are just dumb as f~~~ go along to get along types who far too often will walk right into an oven if propagandized, shamed, and subjected to group think properly. And with enough pressure they all submit and become something that you can hardly recognize any longer.

Joe Bauers. I must agree with you. Most do seem to be good people, or at least well intentioned. The rub is they are so ass backwards and misguided in their fallacious thinking that their best intentions end up stinking up the entire ship.

I also think they don’t believe or can’t grasp the concept of women being so evil until they’re face to face with their soon to be ex’s in divorce court. Having to change your whole identity and purpose given to you since youth is very hard for some men to overcome. Like you said a lot of them are good people but are not aware they’re sleeping next to a demon.
