This world is so messed up I just want to see it end. There is not point to anything. This world has become such a messed up place…I dread that I have another 50 years to live.

Anyone have any thoughts.

I have come to the realization that it is too good for it to be true for it to just end. It’s going to keep getting worse till we all decide “f~~~ it, lets get the pitchforks, guns & ammo, tar and feathers, time to seriously take care of this. F~~~ the consequences, they can’t be worse than this.”

The funny thing is that I believe I’m actually happy. Im going inside and make myself a tiny pizza. Gonna watch a favorite old b&w movie. Tomorrow, Friday is mostly free and I’m installing a whole house water filter. I love sweat soldering and making neat solder joints. Along with nature, these relatively simple things seem to make me happy.

I don’t want to see the world burn. I don’t want it to continue as is either. I would like to see it learn from mistakes, and know that experience is often the best teacher.

Conceptually, this reminds of a couple incidents with my kids. The first, my ex step son, about 10 years ago. For whatever reason, my ex, him, and myself were having a conversation in our master bathroom. My son was sitting on the edge of the bathtub (fully clothed, bathtub full of water), and decided he was going to see how far back he could lean…for fun. I told him not to do that, and he ignored me. Of course, a couple minutes later, he fell in. Was soaking wet and embarrassed, but unhurt. Was I glad he fell in? Yes and no. I didn’t want him embarrassed, but glad he learned a lesson that way instead of something more potentially damaging. It was a bit funny as well.

Just last week, my biological son had his first real taste of competing in a sport where you will actually ride the bench if you aren’t one of the better players. This was a big shock to him, but something he needed to experience, and I’m glad he experience as an 11 year old then later on in life. It resulted in a good heart to heart conversation about the value of hard work, confidence, patience, and taking constructive critiscm. I get the feeling it may be one of those moments he remembers for the rest of his life.

So I don’t want to see the world burn. Will I be upset if it get’s singed a little? No, especially if it can help.

Have a bad day? Meditate on death. Suddenly everything seems smaller and not worth the trouble of worry or care. That’s what I do.

Meditating too much can also be bad, as life is fundamentally natural and should be enjoyed. I try to find the middle road.

A person can go nuts concentrating on all of the evil and misjustice in the world.

It helps to develop a sense of humor. If I’m having a bad day, reading a few blonde jokes helps.

It also is good to help people who need help.

I find this a very disturbing attitude from a man who consistently and blindly defends Israel/Jews at every turn despite their involvement in much of this planets instability. I think that in some cases I feel that way when you start viewing the unknowns of others as part of the scenery. When I really look at the ground and then follow up to sky it’s seems we as humans are stuck in the middle. Doomed to deal with whats present and lost to whats beyond. The absent mind to reality is a harsh one to know. But only it takes one person that dose give a f~~~. Really dose care. To change that completely. For me I still to date search to find such a person and find that even less in the opposite sex.

I got asked today at work if I watched the debates last night. He said it was quite entertaining to him as a liberal. I told him I don’t have it in me anymore and I have signed the petition for the Convention of States and that is where my loyalties lie-with the Constitution. Screw ’em! I am tired of the s~~~ going on with over regulation, special interests, women and their s~~~, and the government getting too big for their britches. Western society needs to burn a little.

If I think about it too much, I start wanting to hit the giant reset button. I try to keep myself busy or I too get to the point of what the OP is saying. All I can do is live my life the best I can.
