What a book! I was about half way through it before today. I brought it with out to the fish house for the weekend. If you guys haven’t read it yet, read it, then start passing it around.

My biggest takeaway was that the feelings I’ve got at my core, and that I believe in, are no so rare. It’s as if she jumped right into my head and stole the transcript. I am passing it off to my sister in law next. Her and my brother are currently headed for divorce, or resigning themselves to misery for the rest of their lives. I am giving it to her under the guise of understanding me, but maybe, just maybe, she’ll pick up some clues on how to quick crushing my brother’s will to live.

Unfortunately, it’s likely too late for that. Being married, she already has your brother’s b~~~~ in her purse, and she will use that to her selfish advantage.

I agree. It’s a long shot. Even worse, if she yearned to try, she’s probably so mal-programmed that she couldn’t do it anyway.

If some women didn’t bitch, their head would explode. Literally.

I think it’s a good book that addresses the issues from a man’s perspective, even though Helen Smith authored the book. She did insert her opinion in here and there, and has that right. I bought it in late December and read it through in 2 days. I started reading it again several weeks ago. My interpretation of her thesis throughout the book is that she wants stronger relationships between men and women, and change laws that are anti-male, even one’s that aren’t marriage related.

She also feels like men and their contributions are being belittled and ridiculed, and that it’s bad for everyone, man and woman. (No s~~~ Sherlock!!)

Being a woman herself, I didn’t think she would accurately state how childish, manipulative and downright evil women are all over the world. And of course, she didn’t and after all, it’s her book. She did a nice job doing her research and showed concern at the plight men face these days.

She didn’t offer any real solutions other than men speaking up. And, again, I don’t see that as her role anyway. A growing number of men have decided to opt out of the roller-coaster ride and the self defeating task of trying to please any woman. So, we go our own way and no f~~~ing law or narcisstic female will change my mind.

Just sick of the s~~~ and at my age, I have better thing to do with my time like scratch my b~~~~, fart as loud as I want, eat whatever the hell I feel like, drink a cold beer every now and then, watch old tv shows, shoot my Smith and Wesson 9mm at the target range…you get it. Important stuff. Females and what they want are not even in the discussion anymore. Go suck old Chad off ladies, if that will make you happy. Cheers!

It’s a good book, though imperfect. My only real complaint with it is the tone. It descends into hyperbole and sarcasm too often. That’s fine when preaching to the choir, but it’s apt to turn off those sitting on the fence and make them think there’s not a serious case to be made. All in all, though, probably the best book out there on this subject.

Men on Strike is the first book I read after being told that I’m a MGHOW. The same pal who told me so also recommended that book.

This is the underlying theme I picked up on too.
I think she’s a lot like other women authors (except Esther Vilar) who seem to be more sounding the alarm bells to women and what they’ll be losing as more men discover how rigged the game is.
In hamster terms, I think they’re more upset about men not eventually saving them from things like poverty, disaster and attack rather than it being about saving men from exploitation and injustice.

Smith explains “Men on Strike” was one of Ayn Rands choices of title for “Atlas Shrugged”
I think it’s the thought of men really going on strike, as Rand visualizes, and withholding all services and resources that terrifies any woman.
Basically, they don’t give a f~~~ about actual men.

You hit the nail on the head.Good book but still too much emphasis on the potential harm to women and very little on respect and treating men fairly. So, most smart men will stay on strike and never go back to the tuna fish plantation.

This book is also written by a woman. She does point out interesting things and they are true.
I have read maybe one chapter about it online, loved it and abandoned it.
I don’t need 1000 pages describing me something as obvious as this. Once I got the hang of it, I move on to the next objective.

It’s a good book but I’m not a book reader at all.
However I do love science and Wikipedia!

"We are free to follow our own path. There are those who will take that freedom from us, and too many of you gladly give it. But it is our ability to choose – whatever you think is true – that makes us human. There is no book or teacher to give you the answers, to show you the path. Choose your own way! Do not follow me, or anyone else."

I was able to get it at my public library. It was available for download and they also had a hard copy to checkout.

That is to say the least surprising, when you take into account our culture today.

A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!

Men now see that women are like shotguns.
    They go off.

Hey, I’m offended and turned on at the same time.
Like its an insult to shot guns, but it explains my attraction to them.
