Good for you. I deleted twitter 2 weeks ago and FB a few days ago, as well.

I don’t miss it at all.

What are you noticing in terms of changes in your day to day, or concentration or anything else?

I didn’t see how I can delete FB, I simply signed out 5 days ago and haven’t been there since then.

“Facebook is ‘designed to exploit the brain and changes relationships’, says man who helped create it
“God only knows what it’s doing to our children’s brains,” a former Facebook boss warns”

“Sean Parker, Facebook’s former president claimed the company’s founders designed the channel to be as addictive and time consuming as possible, the Daily News reports.

Speaking at an Axios event in Philadelphia in November he said: “It literally changes your relationship with society, with each other. It probably interferes with productivity in weird ways.”

    Stay off/get off of ASSBOOK & T~~~TER!

This just confirms my idea that technology is f~~~ing us up. I still say technology (or more to the point, social media) is the reason why so many people are on antidepressants these days.

I had facebook in 2005 for 3 months. I deleted my account thereafter.

Irony is – I tend to go for walks in trails … and you NEVER see people on their phones. Like ever.

The occasional sight of someone setting up their playlist and putting on headphones, yeah.

I have since concluded that narcissists don’t enjoy walking on trails.

Now I love them even more so. Trails, not the narcs.

I agree, do you know how many times I wish people would stop using WhatsApp and instead pick up the f~~~ing phone and call me, but that’s how everyone is nowadays, It makes the world much colder than it used to be.

I got off FB over 10 years ago. Creeped me out. I do still have Twitter cause I’d like to know that I own my own name on it. Don’t post or follow it. Really a placeholder. I do the same with my name as a domain site.

I do have to keep LinkedIn because everybody in my industry uses it. No other personal stuff on site. Only my job. I have well over 500 connections, so it is really useless. It does help that I can look up people’s professional stuff before I meet them.

Your internet experience improves when you get off social media and don’t look at dating sites. Those two things are thought cancer.

I haven’t been on Facebook for over four months. An old Navy friend called just before Christmas, having noticed my absence. I told him I was fine, and that I had just lost interest in posting anything or reading about “the lives of others.” I am not sure when, or if, I will sign on again.

I am on there to follow HOBBIES of a rare special interest, and my brother’s nascent Plek BUSINESS. In real life I have no “friends” (last friend was 30 years ago- he moved to Canada). I am certainly not photogenic, and narcissism reminds me of my Wifestitute Emeritus. I am about to put a link to parental alienation up there in case my progeny are capable of self reflection.

Afinogyny.. from the Greek Afino {to abandon/ to set down/ to leave /to allow/ to let } + Gyny {Women} MGHOW’s philosophy to not engage women without “hating them”. Narcorca =Narcissistic Orca typically spouting to a bathroom mirror taking an arms length selfie ; Wallinate describes post wall females whose SMV is terminally negligible New Years resolution "To not make women happy" . Instadestitue: yet another Neologism for Men that cohabit with women that decide to pull the handle of intervention orders.

I still have facebook for scheduling of events, it’s handy for everyone to keep in touch for small get-togethers.

I tried to get off of it completely and set up notifications of pending events to my email however facebook cleverly doesn’t allow that feature; you must login to see what events are going on. I login maybe once every week to check.

I’ve noticed over the past few years it’s mostly news and media garbage and women posting pictures of babies, vacations and engagements. Men have all but disappeared and hardly anyone posts random updates or tidbits about their lives anymore.

I think facebook’s glory days are behind them however, for those women 25-60 they will keep logging in for that daily dopamine fix. The younger generation all have abandoned facebook in lieu of Snapchat and Instagram where media is consumed and then quickly deleted. There isn’t much “crafting the perfect life” on snapchat from what I hear.

I asked a few female friends about #deletefacebook movement going on and they all supported doing so but nobody was serious about actually going through with it. They are all addicted but honestly who cares… let them have their p~~~ing contest platform I’m going my own way.
