I completely understand Old Bill’s point; it’s a good one. It’s the same reason why ransom demands are never paid…it will only encourage more kidnappings.

Yet, there is a part of me that enjoys these threads. To me, they build a sense of solidarity for the community that simply ignoring them won’t. Seeing my brothers take these c~~~s to task is something I never get to see in the matrix. It is an online battle confronting the gynocracy, which is completely compatible with the rest of the site. These battles can help build the community in this way. Or, at least it potentially can do so. It’s disheartening to see the trolling result in members turn on each other. This is the worst aspect of the trolling as far as I can see. If the trolling results in members fighting amongst themselves, and losing good members, then the trolls are significantly damaging the site. I don’t see how a few brothers calling them out is anything compared to this.

We’re always going to have trolling. Posting threads might temporarily encourage an individual troll, as Old Bill rightly points out, but they will soon lose interest and move on to the next social justice cause. Fighting amongst ourselves about how to deal with these trolls is far worse.

In the mean time:
