    To live by choice,
    not by chance.
    To be motivated,
    not manipulated.
    To be useful, not used.
    To make changes,
    not excuses.
    To excel, not compete.
    I choose self esteem,
    not self pity.
I choose to listen to my inner voice,
not the random opinion of others.
I choose to do the things you won’t,
so I can continue to do the things you can’t.

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape, finding oneself in the ranks of the insane. Marcus Aurelius

Thanks for posting this and a version should become everyone’s daily Mantra.

    Nice.

    Thankyou.
Feel free to use all you like. It’s from a shogun warrior code.

    I live.
    not by choice
nobody asked your bloody opinion on the matter.
You never had a choice in this.
    Ask the Aborted.
    Yea. Oops.

    To be motivated,
    not manipulated.

    What for?

    To be useful, not used.
    Useful to whom?

    To make changes,
    not excuses.

    Change benefiting whom?

    To excel, not compete.
at what? why? who benefits from your skills?

    I choose self esteem,
    not self pity.

    Same scale, opposite Ends.

I choose to listen to my inner voice,
not the random opinion of others.

    The first good one.
    Listen to your gut.

I choose to do the things you won’t,
so I can continue to do the things you can’t.

I don’t know where this came from, but it needs more thought.

    Ha ha, clever g-mow.

The aborted had their choice stolen from them.
    We ain’t the aborted.
Shall we take it up with our parents for f~~~ing in the first place and bringing us into this place?
We are here. Deal with it.
Motivated to strive for my own satisfaction.
To be useful – or effective in making the changes I want to see in my life.
Earn, maintain physical and mental strength.
To make changes – effective and strengthening the above.
To excel – I compete against one – that be me.
I choose self esteem – because self pity don’t bring s~~~.

Listen to my inner voice – it’s usually right.

Many do things others won’t and end up doing things others can’t. A natural progression it may be.

    But having said all this.
Take it up with the shogun.

    no.
    the parents have…
    wrong again
the woman has the choice to abort or not.
(at least where i come from)

“choice stolen from them”… be real.
Nobody has consulted in any meaningful way with the Baby.

One is put into this world,
    or one is not.

    You are here.
    Deal with it.

And “Deal with it” also includes “jump off a cliff if that is your way of dealing with it”.

    There was no choice.
    Face it.
    Stop lying to yourself.

    LMFAO

So what are we supppsed to do then. F~~~ all because we got here without choice?

    NO. once here
    We DO have a choice.
    BUT- diseases
May rob us of that choice.
Perhaps a f~~~ing meteor will rob us.
Or a million other things we can’t control.

But having said that – I CAN choose to
Exercise my will over things I can control. That being ME.

    F~~~ jumping off cliffs.
I have faced suicide – my father did it. I have toyed with it myself.
BUT I CHOOSE TO BE HERE. Until old age, a f~~~ing cancer or a f~~~ing meteor robs me of my choice.

So ultimately I CHOOSE – to let certain circumstance none of us control have their way. Because I CHOOSE to live.

The fact that none of us had agency over our own birth it takes nothing away from what I said in my op.
Once here we all have a choice. Some choose to be victims. Others do not.
I prefer the latter. And f~~~ everybody.

To choose is to take control of what is yours. To realize that you are the best, and only, person to make decisions about your life. All the misery every man ever had with a woman started when he chose to let her choose for him.

If you rescue a damsel in distress, all you will get is a distressed damsel.
