I recently had a conversation with my sister.
Her: It’s been two years since your wife died isn’t it about time you found someone new.
Me: I’ve been on some dates and two Caribbean cruises.

Me: I cannot put my money at risk. A late in life divorce would be a financial disaster. When I die I want what’s left over to go to the kids, not a second wife.

BTW I’ve decided what to do. I’m buying my daughters house. I made enough on the sale of mine to pay cash for it. It’s a two family. I’ll rent the top floor and live on the bottom. She already has a renter lined up. I’m also gonna buy a condo in Florida. If I have to borrow money to pay the mortgage on the condo, I’ll just get a first on this house. That way I can write off the taxes. The rent from the 2nd floor apartment will more than cover the mortgage. I’m not going to take the job with the cruise lines. I’m taking Old Bill’s advise.
