One of the things I do with my youngest offspring is watch nature documentaries. Last night we watched “Nature: The Gorilla King”. The main thrust of the docu was recording the full life of a male mountain gorilla from birth to his rise to Alpha and then being deposed by his own first born son.

Underlying this was the hypergamy of the female gorillas in the troop. As intelligent animals the females were always trying to maximize their own sexual output while exploiting the protection of the Alpha.

When an Alpha gorilla is deposed, the first thing his replacement will do is kill all the children that are still nursing. Male gorillas will not provide for single moms. That makes sense from his point too. The male has nothing to gain by protecting females that are not making his babies.

The females obviously do not want their newborns murdered, so they will conspire to sleep around with the younger males behind the Alphas back. That way if the Alpha is deposed, the females will have planted seeds of doubt in the new Alpha’s mind as to whether the infants are his or not. No Maury Povich paternity test shows are available to set the record straight.

So watching this show it made me have some philosophical thoughts:
1. Gorillas and humans are very similar. It seems that one key to human domination of the world is that human males figured out how work together and to suppress female hypergamy. This allowed all men to have some access to females making it worth while to contribute to the success of society. If all the sex is going to the one Alpha, the other males will not help the tribe succeed. So while females of both species are stuck in the Alpha-F~~~s/Beta-Bucks mode. Human males invented a shared model, which we call Patriarchy, or even civilization.

2. I have seen the female hypergamy model in other intelligent species too, like elephants. F~~~ if elephant males or gorillas could have come up with patriarchy like human males did; they could have built their own civilizations. I believe female hypergamy is really the enemy of civilization. To give in to the random whims of feminism is the return to the hard scrabble of the wild.

Hypergamy exists in almost every species. It’s an essential evolutionary mechanism.
Sexual dimorphism in humans is profound compared to other primates or even other mammals.
Virtually all sexual differences in other animals is due to males competing for dominance in mating rituals.
The difference between human genders is different and profound because of our uniquely large brains. These require substantial modification to a woman’s anatomy (child bearing hips) and a super prolonged period of time to reach full functionality.
This has led to an abnormally long childhood with women evolving as protected child rearers and men evolving as the protectors and providers.
This has severely changed the females evolutionary path to the point where they’re not even close to being able to survive alone against nature as men are.
This makes human females very different from all other primate and mammal females.
Women’s loss of physical prowess has been more than compensated by their superior psychological prowess. Her survival has relied on her manipulative and social skills.
Physically,the average woman is no match for the average man.
Mentally, the average man is no match for the average woman.

Since the beginning of the first civilization, their hard wired hypergamy instincts combine with their manipulation skills to influence legal systems making them no match for any male.
The power of a state enables women to exploit males without even living with them, let alone helping or reciprocating in any way.
History has shown that every civilization has become more and more feminized to the point of collapse. The path is inevitable.

You can blame women, or the state, or evolution or god but none of this will help.
The only way to protect against modern hypergamy is not to play.

Lions do the same, it is an still unexplainable fact, that while lionesses usually only get ready to mate max once a year, when their offspring is killed, they immediately are ready to concieve again. But could forget about the remaining 7 or 8, who were just tolerated as part of the group for protection of the group versus rivals and for success of hunt (providing).

Doesn’t this sound awkward familiar? women look for the top 20% of men only? Alpha f~~~s, beta bucks? vast majority of men being tolerated as providers and protectors only?

It seems you can’t even blame women for their behaviour, they are genetically hard-wired to it.

There is only one species known so far, that I know of, where this theory doesn’t hold true. The species is simply f~~~ing around like mad with each other in each and any combination and any given number of individuals involved. They are known to be among the most peaceful of all animals and to be among the closest relatives to humans – Bonobos.

Yeah I have always been fascinated by the hypergamous nature of animals, especially primates. Chimpanzees are quite extraordinary. The alpha male chimp basically operates much like a gorilla with a harem of females. However, I have noticed that the confrontations between males during mating season to be far more lethal. Chimps are in some ways quite barbaric, even to the point of cannibalism. I often wonder, at point will it take for the world to crumble into the archaic, barbaric ways of survival? I honestly believe it that the fate of humanity is teetering on the precipice of collapse. Perhaps in some ways we are more in tune with primates than meets the eye. If our species does fall, it will be due to our hubris. Our greatest tragic flaw.

There is a big distinction between the two subspecies of chimp. The bonobos are much more peaceful. The common chimpanzee is what I liken to a Scandinavian pillager. They will f~~~ up everything in sight, especially the alpha male…

And one thing can be learned from the mating habits of female gorillas and female humans.

Nature and time enable that in the gorilla world.

In the human world it is the result of court systems, societal conditioning, a volatile economy and availability of additional partners.

Everything about life is a competition of gene’s, your purpose is to pass on your genes how does raising someone elses child fulfill your most primal purpose. Especially if that child is a threat to you (obviously this isn’t the case for humans).

True Alpha’s have no room for bulls~~~ and rule with an iron fist because they will be dethroned and lose out on being able to pass on their genes.

Monogamy has allowed humans to work together because each man and woman is supposed to be promised to only one. Divorce used to be unheard of and woman were shamed for it but today it’s absolutely open season for pussy and woman can do whatever they want.

What’s advantageous to them is dating a man with lots of resources and having a pool of men she f~~~s that give her a stream of resources.

Jordan Peterson has some good lectures online about primate hypergamy. Here’s a thumbnail summary:
1. Humans are most similar to chimps in that our default instincts favor tribes of no more than 150 led by a polygamous alpha.
2. If the alpha has trusted allied males, they mate with females, out of sight of the alpha. The trusted males often fight each other to establish dominance hierarchy.
3. Untrusted males eventually get chased off or killed, so chimp tribes have less males than females. Young males and females often emigrate to other tribes if they dont fit in to the hierarchy. If the other tribes dont accept them, they are either killed or soon die alone.
4. Female chimps do NOT sexually elect, they will mate with most any male who approaches them during estrus. If there are too many females in estrus for the alpha to mate often with, females will sometimes “elope” with another male for a few hours or days, or sneak off to another tribe and mate with a foreign male.
5. Having offspring raises a female’s social status, and earns her help in the form of food and protection (welfare) from other females during pregnancy and infant care.
6. Like the gorillas, the ambiguous fatherhood does deter some infanticide when an alpha is deposed. Father chimps don’t “parent”, the mother does all of that.
7. Chimps evolved on the North side of the Congo River, where food is more scarce due in part to competing with gorillas for food and territory, so chimps often go to war with other chimp tribes and massacre them or reach an uneasy truce. Inter-tribal war further selects stronger/violent chimps for survival.
8. Bonobos evolved on the south side of the Congo River, where food is far more plentiful and they developed a matriarchal society, characterized by promiscuous females that males do not have to compete for. There is no alpha male or female leader, rather the females ostracize misbehaving males and females until they behave again.
9. Peterson doesnt say this that I have found yet, but I’ve heard others say that if a bridge were to be built across the Congo River, chimps would likely massacre bonobos into extinction within a few years.

All this suggests that alpha polygamy is a natural default state of human tribal behavior and survival. The archaeological record backs up this proposition. Competition for harems makes surviving males stronger, and therefore increases the tribe’s chances of surviving a war.

All this is obvious in a small tribe, and this behavior will return when big govt fails to protect. But if you think about it, it’s happening already, with the only difference between us and chimps is females being more selective…but the result is the same: harems for polygamous alpha males. Two human scenario examples:

Ghetto tribalism:
1. Ghetto competition for drug territory eliminates weak males.
2. Alpha males father multiple children that they do not take care of.
3. Females mate with many alpha types until they have a child, which earns more govt help.

Before you say that’s a ghetto thing, there’s also Wealthy Tribalism:
1. Online competition for female snatch results in self-sufficient females selecting the top 20% of men by looks/status/wealth
2. Females become pregnant in or out of wedlock by alpha males, then divorce them when they get tired of their “domineering”, and with the state’s guns backing her, she takes half his s~~~.
3. Those alphas move on to other women looking for the same deal. Hopefully the alpha has learned and avoids marriage and wears condoms this time.
4. The divorced mothers either hook up with another alpha or beta for resources or fall back on govt if the alimony/child support is too meager.

In both scenarios, the result is the same: Alpha Tribal Reproduction. You can take the tribesmen out of the jungle but you can’t take the jungle out of the tribesmen. That’s what the f~~~ we are. Deal with it, brothers. Be an alpha or get in an alpha line of succession by demonstrating loyalty and skill with tools or weapons. We are going back to the jungle, and there won’t be desk jobs there.
