Hey everyone,
I know I know I’ve posted this before, but I have to make a very important decision between choosing what program to go for this coming January. And I have to choose tomorrow. Besically there’s 3 choices. Either I take 1 year of Electrican techniques program, but as I understand this would be for entry level jobs. Or I can go into HRAC program that is 2 years, or Inustrian electrician also 2 year program. The one year program however says it’s possible to find apprenticeship. Anyone with experience, could you please advise on that? Here’s the two programs.

I didn’t know you were in Ontario. I’d probably go for industrial electrical, anyway be prepared to work out of town. Call your IBEW Local and talk to them, gathering as much information as possible helps. Good luck!
My son is an HVAC tech and does very well. He works in commercial buildings for a large multi-national corporation. Should leave there he would have a dozen offers within days. He makes as much money as his sisters one of whom is a college professor and the other is a doctor in the military.
Buddy of mine is is a HVAC tech and he does quite well. Main question should be which of the three are you most interested in?

I think YOU NEED TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT, and waiting til the night before YOU HAVE TO MAKE A DECISION THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE AND BANK ACCOUNT IS ALL ON YOU.

HVAC, you have to be certified on gear. Electrician. You can do the job anywhere in the world and not even know the language.
ELECTRICIAN. And BONUS! If you die? IT’S GOING TO BE QUICK!
We have all seen those movies. No one wants to be chopped up in a fan.
You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

Anonymous1Good Electricians are in short supply and very high demand.
Very high pay rate per hour. Especially, if you travel out of town.
Bad idea to be asking strangers for career advice the day before you supposedly MUST make a decision, but HVAC is probably the most financially rewarding job at entry level and you can further your studies into electrician field or something else, as you go along.
