Figured we could use a roll call check-in thread for Florida MGTOW members to let our brothers knows we’re okay. Currently Irma is expected to drop to a category 4, which is still dangerous. Much of Miami and other areas have evacuated. Stores are out of water, most gas stations are out of gas atm.. Many here in Tampa are hunkering down. Governor has suspended the tolls, to usher getting people out, and is calling for evacuation. I won’t know until Thursday if I’m gonna wait it out or bail.

Stock up on what you’re able to. At the end of the day you’ll be the best one of whether to stay or go. Whatever the case, stay safe gents and make it through.

For our brothers, the National Hurricane Center will be your best info source. Best of luck.

Bottled water is selling out here in Coastal Georgia. The petrol stations are packed. I filled up my truck at pre-Harvey prices so I keep her topped off. I have a Berkey water filter and will be manufacturing filtered water starting tonight.

I just purchased 2.5 US Gallons of Ethanol free gasoline(48 hours) for the generator and chain saw. Tomorrow, I’m buying chain saw bar oil, fuel stabilizer, 2-cycle oil and more EtOH free petrol.

We’re either going to get drilled directly, or Florida will take the brunt of it giving us a backdoor system. I’ve gotten 95% of my Matthew damage repaired and/or cleaned up so I’m not very motivated to finish painting this week.

Many trees were weakened by Matthew here so even 50 knot winds will be dangerous for us. I’m not panicking and nice to have a full gas tank too.

@bushido: I agree, the NHC has been nailing this storm’s track.

    Be safe, Brothers!

Spoke with PistolPete via phone around 6:30pm tonight and he is doing fine.

His Command Bunker is topped off and ready for five or six Hurricanes.

    I wouldn’t try to loot Pete’s place.

One could try but it would be Pete going through the other persons pockets for ID and loose change.

I still think it’s gonna turn right and head up the east coast.

    Regardless, stay safe fellas

I still think it’s gonna turn right and head up the east coast.

Some models predict it. This is a tough storm to forecast. New Orleans to New York needs to keep an eye on it. We’ll know more by tomorrow.

Backdoor storm or direct hit I will not be here. It’s just a matter of how far I have to go. I think it’s best to move SW of the track for a storm like this.

That three day track forecast is when I’ll make my decisions. My Sister had some friends who live in Central Florida who got busted in both 2004 and 2005. It can happen.

I also witnessed what weakened trees can do in 30 knot tropical gusts the weekend before last.

This place is a little like Florida North. We grow oranges here, but cool seasons are stronger.

The NHC has been calling the track right from the get-go. Here is their hurricane force winds path.

The $64,000 question is when does the recurve happen?

The $64,000 question is when does the recurve happen?

    More like the $640,000,000,000 question.

As you wrote earlier, the NHC’s predictions have been solid with this one so far so it looks like the recurve will begin off Cuba midday Saturday and finish up in the Gulf somewhere west of Tampa midday Monday.

That means the eye stays at sea with the Keys and Everglades getting clipped while central and south Florida see “just” winds and rain. The eye will then make landfall somewhere in the Florida panhandle and pass through Georgia and the Carolinas until the storm falls apart.

Irma is not only strong, it’s big. When this thing hits land it’s going to travel inland quite a way as it dissipates. My roof on my house in South Carolina got damaged by Floyd back in the 80’s, and I live 450 miles inland. I hope this thing goes back out to sea and dies an isolated death. Fingers crossed.

SW Florida here. (Fort Myers/Naples) I’m keeping my eye on the forecast, if I don’t like the looks of it Thursday, Im packing the bike and riding for daylight. Should be safe in TN or KY.
