A lengthy drought in Europe has exposed carved boulders, known as “hunger stones,” that have been used for centuries to commemorate historic droughts — and warn of their consequences.

The Associated Press reports that hunger stones are newly visible in the Elbe River, which begins in the Czech Republic and flows through Germany.

“Over a dozen of the hunger stones, chosen to record low water levels, can now be seen in and near the northern Czech town of Decin near the German border,” the AP writes.

In Japan they had ancient warning messages carved in stone also – ‘do not live below this elevation due to risk of tsunamis’ i paraphrase.

One of my interests is studying ancient knowledge and translated ancient texts from various parts of the world including ancient christian texts, the ancient vedic texts of India and the knowledge of the ancient celts. Ancient societies such as the Vedic society were highly functioning societies superior in many ways to todays society. Ancient knowledge is much greater than much of todays warped and flawed knowledge distorted by flawed ideology. Todays society has been contaminated by forces of illusion, lies and chaos and many people are bewildered or living in illusion. Valuing the wisdom of the ancients in your life is a good path.
