I don’t think it’s the job of a government to feed people. It’s the governments job to create a situation people can feed them self. Right now more or less all governments in the world take away resources from those who function well and give it to those who are not. This means if you are doing great you are punished and if you are dysfunctional you are rewarded.
Of course I see a responsibility of society to help those who cannot help them self, like sick or disabled people. A society has to decide how this is done. It can be provided by the government or by private insurance and even by religious organisations.
What’s done here is a complete rerouting of wealth and resources towards people who want to destroy our society. This will not end nicely.

And, just giving money to the poor people will not solve the situation of them being poor. Poor people are poor because they don’t know how to live. I know, most of the people learn a lot of useless bulls~~~ in school instead of learning how to live. Money, laws, working of society, traffic rules, taxes, work and that kind of stuff is no topic of any lessons, but kids are forced to memorize the detailed history and literature of last 2000 years and get bad grades if they don’t like it. Science topics are disconnected from everyday life. So we have that mass education system but getting to be productive member of society is untold. Then at 18…23 one has to learn a ton of new lessons by trial and error because no one told them. Parents are also idiots in the topic of how to live, and kids inherit their bad habits.

So, giving money to the poor may feed them until the next month, but will not have any long term effect if this is the only thing what a government does to them. Also that’s why communism does not work. And also, no motivation for anyone. If the poor can live while doing nothing, and the productive people cannot get their profits then no one is motivated.

At least here in Hungary in the communist ages, there was a term “dangerous work-avoiders” for those people who did not have a job and did not want to work at all, and they were somehow punished for that.

But turning a country from communist to capitalist also has its own dangers – beware that when changing the welfare systems and big government (if it ever happens). One cannot expect all the people just learn the new rules and live by that. And also, rich foreign companies will come to the country to buy up factories just to close them and fire all the workers and import their products from other places. And, in these places there is a lot of corruption, and many corrupt people can get big money while state-owned businesses are privatized. Here in Hungary the “change of the system” as we call it, made the country poor for at least 2 decades, and we still make quarter of what a German or other Western people makes at the same type of job. Also, productivity is still much worse, and those who want to get better need to use life-hacks and tricks all day. Bureaucracy and paperwork is still a shackle instead of an organizer. And mass-education is still useless in life.

Yes, this is like that in any country. If I want some truth on some topics, I read on the topics in foreign sites. (Looking at topics like reality about relationships brought me here by the way. Sometimes I don’t even try to search stuff in my language… Even if this place is not that extremely politically correct, but full of liars.) Most of the media watched by the masses is under government pressure everywhere to control the public opinion.

Funny, that this is called democracy. Governments control the public opinions through their mass media to get voted by the controlled people again. That’s why it is good that we have the internet, let’s hope it doesn’t get censored more.
