Anonymous3HR should only he an administrative department. They should handle all the paperwork for hirings, firings, legal, payroll, etc. They should not be creating policy. They are not operationally savvy.
Using the HR to hire staff is complete stupid idea in many fields of skilled work.
The HR staff is not there in the everyday operation of things. (they do not operate the machines, and aren’t among people who get the actual tasks done.) So they cannot properly judge the fitness of a wannabe to a certain position.At job interviews at my workplace, the group leader / boss of the wannabe employee is there, and also some other bosses / managers / experts (who is relevant at the case.) I think this should be the common sense.
HR is for the paperwork only.
