As some you may know, I posted my introduction a few days ago, wherein I announced my impending divorce from my wife of 30 years. In that post I mentioned her near total lack of affection for about the past 25 of these years. She won’t even hold hands. And if I accidentally touch her while sleeping I am treated as a leper.  Anywho, a week or so ago we were having one of our heated discussions (well not really a discussion, more of a litany of the long list of my failures and inadequacies as a husband and father). During the course of this I asked her a pointed question: “Tell me, when was the last time you 1) kissed me; 2) hugged me; or 3) held my hand?” Silence. I then reminded her of my conclusion, and of course a big reason why I am kicking her to the curb: she is utterly incapable of expressing any affection, physical or otherwise. To which she replied, in that brilliant female way of hers, “that’s not true! Why the just the other day I hugged the checker at Walmart after she told me about her troubled son!” Jesus H. Christ.

Seriously she’s an old hag why in the world would you want to touch her? Tossing her out is the best thing you can ever do!

Yea that’s an insane, yet predictable response I’d expect from a woman, typical deflection nonsense. Good luck on the divorce bro.

Sounds like you went through the pedestalization and then devaluation typical of narcissists.

How much of her personality is nothing more than vanity?

If this is so please see

    BeGood4000s videos on narcissism.

I would say her hugging the checker at Wal-Mart is nothing more than an act.

Good riddance to your soon to be XW.

I hope she knows how glad you will be to be rid of her.

frankly my dear i don't give a damn

HA HA HA I just heard from my lawyer – she will certainly know when she finds out that, according to the state’s formula, I may get $340 per month in ALIMONY. But he also said that the judge may exercise “some discretion,” so I am not counting on it. If I do get $340 a month, I swear I will send my first month’s check to help pay for this site!

HAHAHA!!!! Serves her right!  Glad one of ours will come out ahead on the monthly for once Cato!  I suspected you might hear that after reading your introduction.  Amazing to me how many of us all seem to have been married to the same woman, isn’t it?

If that happens I will feel like one of those army guys who is the only one in his company to survive an attack. Wracked with guilt – why wasn’t I killed? What is so special about me that I was spared?? But I will still cash the check.

    AWALT, bro, AWALT.

Keymasters won’t take donations. I suggest you go out drinking with your first check, if you get it. What’s funny is that many women are reading your post and they will be p~~~ed off because you might be receiving alimony. LOL

I’ve been reading a lot about psychopaths.

The more I read the more I’m get the felling …. a lot of women are borderline psych/sociopath.

They hide their mania deep so they appear normal at first … honey trap …. but they can’t sustain it … the real them fights through in the end.

Read up on it …. she may just be one.

More men need to do this. My brother could have gotten alimony from his ex but decided not to. I tried to convince him, but he wouldn’t do it.   I’m not sure if you guys have seen, but a lawyer in CA is trying to end alimony by a ballot referendum. His site is http://www.calalimonyreform.org/  – any mghow’s in CA please give him your support and siogn the petition to get it on the ballot.

The same way a woman does.  If the wife makes 50% more than the husband, it is assumed that he has grown accustomed to this and so upon divorce she has to pay. At least in theory. Don’t hold your breath for a judge to look at it this way. In my state, the law says nothing about gender. There is a formula that goes like this: multiply the higher monthly income by .3 and the lower monthly income by .5 . Subtract the second amount from the first and that is the amount of alimony that the higher income person must pay. I assume there is a great deal of variability from state to state on this.

Yeah, there is a ton of variability on this from state to state.  In CO, you take .4 of the higher income minus .5 of the lower income with the difference being the alimony (terms Spousal Support in CO) but the resulting figure cannot cause the lower income earner to exceed 40% of the combined income of the parties.  Resulted in a whopping $1,950 per month check from me to the ex.  Absolutely insane.  On the plus side, I only have to pay it for 2 years, 9 months, 7 months of which have already elapsed.
