I am a 32 year old man who has seen enough men throw their life desecrated by woman 2.0.  I am a divorced in 2007 and am in no hurry to get married again.  I am content not every getting married again despite pressure from relatives and a few female friends.  I have seen the legal minefield of marriage and know that it is like playing fire and you can get burned especially if you are doing it just to do it or even by peer pressure.

I am an avid firearms enthusiast.  I like to hunt and fish (though admittedly have not done either in a while).  I like to read.  I like to drink and listen to music (trying to limit that one to non-work nights).  I enjoy riding my bike.  I like off-roading (though I have not been in a while due to maintenance costs on my Jeep).   I am also up for trying new things.

Anyway, I have heard that this community is very big on pursuing the things you love and is a good community for those who are tired of hearing about how we should just “settle down” and “put a ring on it”.   I still have my life ahead of me and I settle for no one.

I agree with you.  I am divorced.  I have lost almost every thing I worked hard for in my divorce.  I am happy and free living on my own.  Never again.  Now I live my dream life as a motivational speaker and filmmaker.  Thanks, Ray Bandaku

Hi Jimbo! Thanks for joining and welcome. 32 was a turn-around year for me. And let me tell you, buddy. It gets better. MUCH better. I don’t think I’ve even met a man who would want to be younger or trade his experience in for anything.

My first tip off was when I was the wide-eyed Luke Skywalker type. Just full of belief and boundless, unbridled (unrealistic) optimism. I bought a lottery ticket for every member of my family for a Christmas stocking stuffer. I asked my dad what he would do with 100 million dollars.

He said: “i would give you 10 million. Your brother 10 million. Your mother 10 million. And I would f~~~ off to my home country.”

    Really?

Yes. Really. And that’s when I knew.
I understand my Dad better NOW, than I ever did then.

Then at 32, I realized I was more of a Han Solo.
“Hoakie religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good BLASTER at your side, kid.”

… and I really PREFERRED it.

Welcome and big thanks for joining. Hope to read more from you.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.
