I just did Part I of this video for 4 sets with weight vest(+40lbs) and I’m about f~~~ing dead(minus the diamond push-ups due to a shoulder issue).
Now for a leisurely walk around the neighborhood listening to some AFTER THE BURIAL to cooldown. Enjoy your workouts men. Remember that GOOD FORM is more important than the amount of reps you pump out.

Sick workout! I’m training for savage race right now so I might use this, thank you for the share. I crushed my core yesterday so touching my stomach hurts… I can’t run yet after the marathon Sunday due to calf pain. BTW ATB rules, glad to see some metal heads on here

That’s some good s~~~ right there! I love bodyweight workouts and have been into them for a long time. Check out these guys: http://www.thenx.com . I love bar work too. Some of these dudes are incredibly strong!

Just watched some videos on this Savage Race. That looks like a f~~~ing blast!

Same here. Was a big gym guy from the age of 15 and it just tore my body apart even with perfect form. I did push myself a little harder than I should have for 3 of those years though.
But since switching to bodyweight my appetite nose dived(which makes it easier on my wallet!) and I don’t need a gym membership(save even more money!)
I’ve seen those guys on youtube, OfficialThenx, I believe is the name of the channel! Also good knowledge there. Wish I had a warehouse I could fill w/ a bunch of bars like that. I wish I had a decent park nearby with sufficient bars. But I do what I can with what I got!No Wife - No Strife
Anonymous42I’ve been motoring in snow all day with insulated snow boots and I’m exhausted! Snow makes everything much harder! Now for the second half! I like eating lunch and reading everyone’s posts! There’a no shortage of all things rational!
It’s great to be back on my feet again! It’s time to hustle! Be back later!
My workout was in the surf, three hours of paddling and catching waves. A strong current… Beat today
I'm going my own way. Maybe I'll see you there.
I’ll be doing a resistance workout after I’m done here. It’s time to lose weight and look good shirtless this summer.

Anonymous32×8 kilometers commute to work on bicycle everyday even if bad weather. Not much but at least I can move a little and breathe some air. I’m still waiting for some snow to really use the benefits of having a downhill / off-road full suspension bike too.
Anyway, I don’t know how these guys have that six pack abs, I had fat belly 15 years ago, even when I was circa 30 kg lighter, participating swimming competitions well, and the strongest boy in the class. Probably I need a liposuction on belly to get rid of that fat, even if I’m strong enough and I can bench-press my weight. Counting calories but how to not be hungry in the evening then? And it’s not cookies, I actually don’t even like anthing sweet nor bread-like stuff. Or probably there is not enough testosterone in me?
I currently walk about 10-15 miles every day. I’ve never been a gym goer, but I’ve definitely burnt myself out on strength training/bodybuilding.
Now I just mainly focus on eating at calorie deficits while doing only cardio.
I definitely lost some muscle mass these past couple of months doing this, but I feel better without all that mass on me. I definitely feel more athletic if anything.
Coupled with about 8-9 sprints every day, this is the best form of workout for us skinny MGTOWS out there if we’re not focused on aesthetics (which I couldn’t give a f~~~ about at this point).
I’ve just been focusing on losing all the weight I can, whether muscle or fat, in order to get to my lowest BMI weight possible.
If I were to do strength training again, it would be calisthenics and free weights like dumbbells/resistant bands. I f~~~ing hated doing heavy weights.

Nice, only thing I have in my workout that isn’t bodyweight calisthenics are curls, which I just use a 5gal water bucket for, just to keep them tone.
I’m right there with most of you guys on the mass ordeal. F~~~ being huge. I use to leg press 1,250lbs and now all I got to show for it are knees that crack every time I bend down lol.No Wife - No Strife

Haha, yeah. I was at my biggest around 190 pounds when I stopped bodybuilding. I got so sick of being huge I didn’t want to have that much mass on me, as I’m a natural ectomorph.
Even though aesthetically, I look like s~~~ while skinny, I feel my best when I weighed around 120-125 which is my goal weight as of now. Which is also the main reason I’m only sticking to cardio.
Plus, I hate buying new clothes just because I’m bigger. A got a few new shirts in large for the first time a few weeks ago and it’s f~~~ing expensive to be large.
I’d rather be a skinny f~~~ twig boy for the rest of my life feeling more athletic and not bogged down by muscle and fat. It’s cheaper and it definitely feels better to be smaller.

Well why did you feel you needed to leg press so much? Now look at the price you’re paying with your knees. You’d be better off toning it down a bit. When I was senior in high school and did strength training in PE, the most I ever leg pressed was 400 on each side and it was just right for me and I wasn’t a strong kid then.
Now I need to lose weight (I’m 250 now) and I want to get down to 190. Now only do I need to do it for my health, but I need to help prevent my back from getting sore. My back has been killing me since New Year’s.

Leg day was just my favorite day. Nobody ever on the equipment. I didn’t feel like I was pushing myself too hard at the moment. Was just always pumped about getting an intense leg workout in w/ zero wait time between equipment. Just thankful I can still walk, run, and do lunges. Now I just do a half mile worth of lunges w/ my vest on 👍 but they crack lol.

Most of these “mass” gainers are hardly ever proportionate anyways and when you stop lifting you can watch all that hard mass turn to cottage cheese. Not a pretty sight. I started at 253 and so far I’m down to 228 and lost a lot of belly fat and feeling great. I do 60 minutes cardio 20 minutes a piece on 3 different cardio machines especially rowing. I also like lifting with dumbbells and since my wife of 20 years left I turned my spare room into a weight room. It was a good trade off I think. Now if she see’s me on facebook she probably s~~~ting bricks considering I am now in way better shape than when she was with me. I use it motivation what can I say.
Anonymous4I was running about 4 miles

Hell yes (fellow metalhead)! I also find The Acacia Strain and Bury Your Dead to be great workout/cooldown tunes. My favorite album as of late had been Transcendence by The Devin Townsend Project. So epic it hurts!
The Devin Towsend Project – TRANSCENDENCE
My workout today consisted of clustered power cleans and thrusters and then a 20 min programmed WOD with double unders, power clean and box jumps of 15 reps x 3, muscle ups and strict pullups, along with the most amazing part – running outside in January in South Dakota. A sunny 41 degrees today here:)

Ever since I was 13 and woke up to Metallicas “Where I May Roam” I have and forever will be a metalhead.I actually listened to that album and was suppose to buy it in my iTunes Christmas bundle to myself lol. PURCHASED!
Just finished my first 5K run this morning. Got notified of the annual island party that’s 4 months away so I’ve got a 2nd wind going. Haven’t ran in years. I remember why lol. Exercise induced asthma SUCKS! But I’ll push through it.

That’s awesome man. Music is a hell of an outlet for positive aggression. For me, it’s one thing in life that’s remained constantly good. Anyways, glad you grabbed that Townsend album. Some of the live videos they have released since Transcendence came out are absolutely awesome. The Devin Townsend YouTube rabbit hole is vast and quite entertaining. So the female vocalist that you hear throughout the album is Anna Maria van Giersbergen. She is from the Netherlands and has been a huge influence on Nightwish and the like. Her latest band is called VUUR and I’ve been enjoying their latest album as well. Her vocals sound very cool over the brutal guitar tones on the album.
VUUR – music videoNice work getting your miles up with your running! It’s a great feeling to make progress with cardio and it’s so good for you. I used to be a long distance guy. It’s really all I ever did. I needed to change it up a bit so I started at a non-branded CrossFit gym 4 years ago and haven’t looked back. Has done wonders for my mobility and flexibility. Haven’t had any injuries either, which I know is a stigma that keeps many people away. Keep working hard brother and I hope that island party is a blast!
