Hello Brothers,
I decided to post this here since most are experienced married veterans… Over the past year I’ve realized marriage seems a tremendous waste of revenue along with time…
So, since I am not going to falter into such compromising position, I was wondering how much money will I save from abstaining from slaver…. I mean Marriage…
Thank You again Brothers.
Terrance Popp has a good answer
"what a waste of a life, to marry, give up your freedom, just for the hope of not dying alone. Don't get married Son."
$10 to 15k on a divorce attorney
$250k raising each child to age 18 – figure 2 kids.
$15k/year entertainment
$5k/year for therapist
$200 to $250 month in food per child. Especially if they are male. This does not include junk food.
$1,500 to $2,00 per year for miscellaneous school expenses after they reach middle school.
$70 per morning after pill per child after getting driver’s license. Yes I Had To Do This.
$300/month per child driving for gas money. In their mind 20 miles is actually 5 but they give their friends rides.
$10k/year for the wife just because of stupid s~~~.
$60 every other month to have the smell of weed fumigated out of your car. I wasn’t me dad. Honest.
$25k in medical emergency room visits billed to insurance starting in middle school per child. Especially if their male. There was over $43k spent for just one. This can be a low ball number. You figure the copay.
$1,500 for each kid for a queen sized bed when the outgrow their twin beds. Especially if they are male."I asked you a question. I didn't ask you to repeat what the voices in you head are telling you" ~ Me. ........Yes I'm still angry.
most divorce lawyers make between 300 to 400 u.s. dollars per hour …..i’m 20.000 $ in debt 18.000 in legal fees .. and 17 % of my gross pay in child support ..
In sync with Solldier Medic’s points (well broken down), the average unmarried working man would have $ 350K or more in the bank by the time he is 50. That’s AVERAGE and not even reaching. Imagine what kind of top flight vagina he can enjoy for that kind of coin over a couple of decades. Or another house – paid for by a tenant.
I bought a girlfriend an iPod v.2 once – when they were $ 600 and I couldn’t really afford it. Something she could use, right? Well you know what I heard after she opened it? “If it’s got a plug…….. it’s not a gift”. (meaning she would rather have jewelry or some useless s~~~. We broke not long after and she’s someone else’s wife now.
…. but if I bought Apple shares with that instead, it would be worth $ 25,000 today.
Makes me wanna puke. But I have to laugh.
If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.The rule of thumb I always use is the wives’ idea that “what’s mine is mine and what’s his is ours” to conclude that when married at least 50% of your income will be spent on her.
Current UK nation average salary after taxes is ~£21600, so being married for 40 years will cost you at least £432,000, plus of course all the compound interest you could have earned on anything that you saved out of that. Of course the more you earn the more it costs so your mileage will vary.
About half of whatever you are making.
But that is not even the worst part. The worst part is that all your life will be a compromise. All the things you’ll buy will be the “lower end model”. You will be guilt tripped for even the smallest thing you get for yourself. And all of this expense and frustration just so you get some inert pussy maybe once a month.
It is pure insanity. The answer is NO. “I could but I won’t”. Memini murum!

Actually, if we take away the living expenses, which you would have to pay either way, you would be loosing about 95% of your disposable income. Basically all the money you could use to do or get what YOU WANT will be unavailable to you.

Anonymous42I got out $o Cheap I may have set the record! I don’t have but a couple grand in drinks, gasoline, and rubbers! IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! I never let women financially milk me, orally is another story.
I started my day pumping some golden honey in my rear end,,,,,,, then I did the transmission,,,,,,, what were you thinking? You sick f~~~s!This is all very educational, but I think the actual dollar value is largely irrelevant. Take a good look at the married men around you. You could not pay me enough to put up with that s~~~.
The benefits of GYOW for your wallet are significant and lucrative. But the benefits of GYOW to your soul and sanity are PRICELESS.
Hmmm. Maybe someone should format this info like one of those credit card commercials.

Totally agree with this. I am 42 now and I know if I had never got married I would have a house fully paid for and be able to work part time by now. Instead of this, I walked away from everything at the age of 40 and I am now starting to rebuild my finances. I am excellent with money, my ex is terrible with money. She didn’t work for six years and I was the sole breadwinner, yet she was always p~~~ed off that I didn’t want to spend every penny I earned on her and wanted to save money for emergencies.
I pay roughly 20% of my take home salary in child support, 40% to live on and I save the remaining 40%. Saving money is so easy now I don’t have to spend all of my money trying (and failing) to keep her happy. I now have zero debt and nearly a years salary saved in the bank and the funny thing is I have been able to do it without even trying. It sickens me to think how much I would have now if I hadn’t wasted nearly 15 years on her and had bought property instead when it was so cheap.
Funny thing is I love saving money and every time I check my balance it gives me a warm feeling inside. That money is freedom to me, having no debt and a nice sum of money stashed away allows me to sleep at night knowing I am free. Having to go to work every day to a job you hate to buy your fat wife and screaming kids s~~~ they don’t need and to pay the mortgage and car payments and million and one other things she thinks she needs to keep up with her friends on Facebook is the worst existence ever. Knowing you are living month to month and have to do that job is almost like prison.
For women, everything eventually boils down to Alpha Fucks, Beta Bucks.
