So lately I’ve found a new semi-hobby in buying up nice looking watches.
I’ve always worn watches, but I’ve always owned cheap multifunction digital ones. Lately my taste has shifted and I’ve been more interested in style over function.
That said, I’ve been keeping my purchases below 200 USD. Casio Edifice type stuff and less expensive Citizen watches.
I was curious, how much do you guys spend on watches, do you worry about damaging them in day to day activities, do you not bother, etc?
Nada…The time is present on every electronic gadgets so no watch needed nowadays…Plus its easier to ghost…
From my experience though, mechanical watches are good for the looks but are easily damaged when worn on rough activities…The gears take a toll from the pounding…It was a Seiko Divers so not too expensive….
I went digital after that but it doesnt look “classy” with all the buttons and thingamajig so I stopped wearing one when the watch failed…
I stand with feet apart and let my balls hang free...Manginas dont have balls...See how they stand and sit at the whim of their masters...

Thissss. I bought a jaguar 350€ like two years ago, what a waste of money.
But if you enjoy it as a collection, f~~~ it, your life, your money.
To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

Anonymous54I like pocket watches. I allways had them till the phone with the time on it.
Never expensive.
Anonymous12I don’t. In the past they have always broken or I have lost one. With the advent of mobile phones which have a clock on them it made me do away with watches altogether. I have noticed less and less men wear them now probably for similar reasons.

Anonymous42Ask TSA, they stole mine on a flight out of Miami! I like “thin” watches with actual hand that move!

Anonymous38I bought myself a tag for about $1500 when I got my first job after graduating. I hardly wear it. It’s nice to have one smart watch I think. But careful your desire for bling isn’t to impress hoes. I mostly wear a cheap digital sports watch which I use for the sports I do.

Oh, no. I work alone on overnights and sleep in the afternoon. No one to see them but me.
casios with various extra tools. usually can get a $100 watch for about $40-45.
Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.
The best watch I have was free.
It belonged to my Grandfather. he bought it in 1983 and died in 2009. I inherited it.Still ticking. I’ll keep it until my son is old enough to appreciate what it isn’t then let him have it.

I love watches. Price never really came into view. its was always about the design.
I really like to buy second hand watches. That is where I got some of the really nice ones.
Sometimes it just having a nice piece of mechanical artwork on your hand. I buy them from everywhere, cost is anywhere from $5.00 to more then $300.
I have to admit, I like the cheap ones at walmart. I find ones that I like that stand out from the rest. I avoid ones with fake dials and bulls~~~.
When I get on the path where I think I want in my life, then I will go after the larger big ticket watches. I want to display them.
You tend to appreciate the work when you start working with metal. I just tired to mount and LED to a heat sink and drill holes and Failed miserably.
So, I may be more impressed then some of you.
For budget good looks, I go with Sudo brands like GENEVA.

For just something that tells me the time? $15 tops. I don’t need something strapped to my wrist all the time just so I can check the time. I did buy a smart~~~ch though because it helps me with my business. It’s very useful to be able to answer phone calls and glance at texts without having to take my phone out of my pocket. For my personal phone, I don’t have a smart~~~ch. There’s no need. If I didn’t have a business, I wouldn’t own one. I don’t know why anyone that doesn’t have a business would need one.
I love watches. Real ones, not the type that sync to your iphone and accept phone calls etc. I can’t afford the really nice ones so I stick to mostly Seiko, Citizen, and Festina watches made in Japan. They look good, they last forever and they take a fair amount of abuse which is important if like me, you almost never remove them.
I don’t wear much in the way of bling or jewelry but a nice gold watch is always a good look and other men tend to notice it more than women anyway.
I have 6 watches, and rotate them on a daily or weekly basis depending on how I feel.
Watches and sunglasses are something I am happy to spend good money as I am lost without both of them. So I always have a pair of sunglasses in each car plus a few pairs at home, a pair in my backpack….etc" I feel threatened "
I’ve always wanted a tag, but that’s a FAR off goal.
I do triathlon so my current watch is from the Garmin range – performance over traditional style I suppose. Approx £500.
FOR ME, invaluable for tracking workouts, splits, races etc.
Still looks great with a suit:

It has to be a piece that I can carry in my pocket. I don’t really like having something around my wrist just for the sake of it.
Know when it is your duty to give them zero explanations for your actions.
I have a Casio Gmax , in past I had a Rolex I bought second hand as it was a good price , had it for 4 years and sold it for a profit.
I must confess I liked wearing it , but these days I would have been upset if I lost it, so it was sold.
I have a 1k tag I bought some years back. Would like to buy other nice w/w but have some other problems/mistakes I need to clear up first.

Same here. I cant have something on my wrists.
Probably from wearing the silver braclets.hahahh
Im not one for collecting things, but I do like beautiful pocket watches.Don’t wear one. Why should I?
Have a cheap mobile phone that has sync time time zones etc.
Good enough. 🙂- AuthorPosts
