How Men Roll………My Trip to The Local Landfill

I think this little experience I had on Saturday is indicative of the difference between the average man and the average woman.

I’ll keep this short.

Had to take a sleeper sofa (heavy) to the dump Saturday. I had help loading it, but I was going to be on my own to unload it at the landfill. I didn’t thinbk this would be an issue as I could just push it off the back of the truck bed.

But when I got to the dump, the lip of my tailgate was below the lip of the landfill dumpster. Which means I need to lift the end of the sofa at the same time I was pulling if forward to get it over the lip of the dumpster. I was struggling.

Next to me were two women unloading light house waste. They saw me struggling. They said nothing and tried not to look in my direction as I was struggling as they didn’t want to acknowledge I was in need of help. It wasn’t heavy lifting, all that was needed was someone to help with a tug, a child could have helped.

In the meantime, two guys…….way down on the end of the row, 4-5 bins away from me, they must have seen me struggling a bit, and walked all the way down the row to my truck and asked if I needed a hand.

I looked over at the two empowered women and said, well, I sure do….. and thank you for asking me……

That my friend, in a nut shell, is the difference between a man and a woman.

How can a woman be expected to be happy with a man who insists on treating her as if she were a perfectly normal human being.

Anyway communication, real open communication, is not wanted or even required in a relationship. Women “cut me off” at local recycling more than a few times. Can’t they read the signs? Enter … Exit. They often drive their big nosed rigs in from the exit and cut in .. apparently little or more likely no regard.

I was once first in line and had been waiting since seven thirty AM for the place to open at eight. Some gal comes in from other direction and shoves her big grill in front of me .. I had left just enough room for the workers to walk by and open gate .. she took that sliver of space and went in front of all. Didn’t even look at me. A couple of other vehicles behind me also saw the entire spectacle and we had all been waiting for most of a half hour. Who taught these gals manners .. or better yet, who didn’t teach them public civility and manners? Have they no shame, no guilty feelings .. no regrets for these public airings of their disregard for the common man .. who simply attempts to be a good neighbor .. and because of this gets trampled on by some awalt driving a big rig monstrous SUV with a front end the size of California. I know why they act this way .. because they have and they do and they think they can .. with no consequences.

Once again, since the women can’t be re-trained .. since the nature and nurture have combined to create nothing less than a a new case study for a team of sociologists and a parallel team of clinical psychologists .. there is nothing I can do but avoid these awalt individuals.
