Getting a tattoo really is my only long term plan right now outside of next year (since i legally can’t till 2018 unless i wanna stab myself with a pen). So my question to those who have them is how is it? and what is your tattoo of?
And what is the pain involved in it?
Because once i can i am planning on getting one maybe 2 tattoos on my upper arm i will not list what i am planning to get but i will say i am not putting swasticas nor anything on my penis, nor am i planning anything on my neck, face or ass regions since i may be stupid but i am not some complete dumbass either and to give you folks a clue on what it would be ill just say if you have never seen the logo at least once you must have been have been living under a cave for decades and no i do not mean coca cola.
And yes getting a tattoo literally is one of my longest term plans as of now outside of going to college so i can become a bartender as a backup for my main plan just in case the economy hits the s~~~s so i will be able to find work if in the future my main goal where to fail for the moment.
So can anyone on here help about this?

Tattoos are a single mum attention thing . One of my friends uncles has a tattoo shop and a next door shop on removals . Removal shop is doing better
Don’t make yourself a walking comic book bro .
THE PLANTATION HAS NOW TURNED INTO THE KILLING FIELDS . WOMAN ARE NOW ROLLING CAMBODIAN STYLE .
Just remember that a tattoo is for life so choose what you get done wisely. I knew so many people who got them done when they were in the late teens only to be embarassed by them 4-5 years later when they matured a bit and their tastes changed.
Also make sure that you pay good money and pick a good artist. Go watch Ink Master if you haven’t watched it already. Especially the earlier shows, it will show you what to look out for when differentiating a good tattooist from a bad one.
Do you know what style of tattoo you want?
Anonymous43tattoo seems like a bad choice.

Tattoos are pretty normal these days, and upper arm is a pretty respectable place to get one. Marines have been getting bulldogs on their upper arms forever. As long as you’re able to cover it up for work (in case that’s necessary), it shouldn’t be a problem.
I agree with a couple points that MonkeyMind raised:

Like MonkeyMind said: There are lots of old TV shows about tattooing that you can rent from Netflix, like “Ink Master” or “LA Ink” or “Miami Ink.” I would just rent or stream a few old episodes of those, and they’ll tell you way more about tattoos than you could learn on a message board. (Though it’s always fun to hear people talking about their first-hand experiences.)
I have alot of time so ill look into it before i do potentially stupid and a pain in the ass to undo.

Just traditional nothing really special.

Upper arm is one of the easiest and least painful places to get one. In the whole three hours of getting mine there was just one sensitive spot during the outline where it switched from a low poking pain into feeling like a razor blade being dragged through my skin at full depth.
If you asked about ribs or inside of thigh I would have cautioned. Look up tattoo pain chart online.
Make sure you do your after care.
I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.
So my question to those who have them is how is it?
It’s great. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have done it.

You don’t tell, either. But you want a popular logo, that isn’t individual at all. You are quite young, so chances are you will change your attitude in many ways, and then you are stuck with what you thought when you were a college boy.
Primary advice: think again.
And what is the pain involved in it?
Not that much; I’ve been suffering worse. It’s total kindergarden compared to a tooth root inflammation in the night, no strong painkillers at home and watching every minute of the night go by until the morning when the dentist opens.
Do not take painkillers before the tattooing; some of them, like Aspirin, might even collide with your blood coagulation. Do not apply painkilling lotions before the appointment since this alters the skin properties in a negative way.
Besides, the pain is part of the deal.

Upper arm is easy for two reasons. First, it’s only really nasty when there is bone right beneath the skin. Second, do observe the “not visible when wearing a t-shirt”-policy. Employers do not like tattoos – unless you work in domains where you should consider a serious change of lifestyle anyway.
And IF you are in such a lifestyle, chances are that you will not really want a visible tattoo because it helps to identify you.

Take a close look at the studio. What are their work samples in the photographs folders? Do they have experience in the very style you want?
What about hygiene? The tattoo room itself has to be akin to an ambulant surgery room. Blood is a primary disease vector, so take care.
Be extra sceptical of the studio if they don’t have a waiting list of at least several weeks, if not months. Good studios have so many customers that you can’t have a tattoo just next week.
Do not head for an overly detailed tattoo. The ink will blur somewhat over time, and what was a nice detailed work early on will become a diffuse blot of ink.
If you like catching tan, think again. Tattoos will degrade when exposed to UV rays.

Well it is not a popular logo by tattoo standards but it is of one of the most popular bands in existence which i have been enjoying listening to for over 3 years now.
But there is so much variation on the design that it probably will not be the same exact design as the others nor is it gonna be of walmart, coca cola or some brand name. But this is just for my ideal of my first tattoo my second one (if i decide to get one at all) would probably be of something not alot of people know about or get tattooed of.

My design for a first tattoo is one that can be covered up with a bit longer of a shirt (so if i get into a job with a suit and tie it would hide it), or it could possibly be a bit below the shirt (the end sticking out), either way ill find a way to cover it up even if i have to buy longer shirts or long sleeved shirts for the times i need to cover it up.
But if i get into a career that does not need suit and ties (i am planning on at this moment) i might not need long sleeve shirts.

I ain’t the biggest guy into tanning but where i live it probably will be exposed to the sun and damage a bit over time so over time i will probably need to get it lightened or find a way to get it back to its original state but i do not go tanning intentionally.
